I was scrolling earlier here on wattpad, trying to find a nonfanfic book and saw this book and remembered a movie just like it
What if they have an expiration date on their wrist. It will show when will they die.
For example, if they have exactly 24 hours and it turns into zero (00:00:00) then they had finally met their end of life
Maybe add a little twist, cuz yeah, some can't die right? Their expiration dates will fade or either it has some sort of error and it isn't able to determine when they'll die.
They can also give someone more time (extra lives) by some ways (you can decide how).
I imagine Geno reaching 00:00:00 but it's still not it's end:
– 00:00:01
The countdown becomes negative and he continues to live on.
