Not Afraid of Risks (Tech)

Start from the beginning

Yet, you still had the strength to clench your teeth and reposition your lightsaber in your hand. The commander wouldn't sway you away from your detrimental decision; Tech, Hunter, Echo, Wrecker and Omega would escape, no matter the cost,

"Crosshair," you began, your eyes barring into the very soul of the Clone, "Your brothers do not want me to kill you. Please give me another option. I will die and kill to protect them, and I wish I could say the same for you, but without them, you are truly alone in this world. Why destroy your only lifeline for an Empire who would replace you in less than a week?"

Before Crosshair could find a rebuttal for your question, a blaster bolt erupted from the woods, striking him in the shoulder and immediately flings him to the ground. Dust rises from where he landed,

"Come on!" the voice of  Echo cried out as he jumped to a rock, aimlessly shooting his blaster at his un-named brothers. His face was morphed into one of major pain and sadness, but his actions did not show it. His actions showed true determination for you and his squad. You could not imagine having the courage to down someone you love like that, but likely Echo shot Crosshair in the shoulder for a reason-- just to injure him. Not to kill.

You pulled yourself from the position that your boots had been glued to as the fighting begins. Crosshair wasn't getting up any time soon, which uncoordinated his squad. They had no leader; no command. All they could do was shoot at the Bad Batch, and attempt to jump out of the way when your lightsaber came into slashing range, "Get to the ship!" you shout while decapitating a Clone Trooper who was aiming at little Omega.

As your group swiftly got out of the aim of the troopers, you collapsed into Tech's arms; your breaths becoming ragged and shallow, "The force can only provide so much when it comes to escaping," you pant breathlessly. Your heart was beating at least 70 miles-per-hour. Sure the running caused a bit of it, but the fact that Tech of all people happened to catch you during your fall was enough to make you blush a smidge. Your face was already the colour of crimson blood thanks to the excessive exercise, so likely, the Clones didn't notice,
"Let's walk for now, then," Tech responded while walking, allowing you to lean on him for support, "The majority of them will be too busy with Crosshair to even bother with us. We still need to move fast, because if I'm correct, Crosshair should be back in fighting shape in less than a moon."

You nodded, slowly regaining your strength enough to walk by yourself. You had a pounding headache from the adrenaline rush. Unfortunately, you had Tech to blame for that as well. Generally when you get strung into combat, you just have yourself to worry about, so you always direct the adrenaline rush on keeping yourself safe. Now that Tech has somehow stolen your attention, you were hyper-fixated on the man. You're exhausted now... unmistakably exhausted,

"We can't become cocky or too comfortable until we get off this planet," you spoke up, latching your lightsaber onto your belt, "They have good medics assisting Crosshair. The faster we get off this planet, the better."

Although you were originally sent to this planet to hunt down and destroy each member of the Bad Batch, you really hadn't taken into account over how far away their ship was from your original designated meeting place. You supposed that was why Crosshair and Lord Vader had planned it-- they could not escape during the fire fight. You exhaled the air from your lips and shook your head,
"Why did you guys decide to park the ship so far away?" you questioned, wiping the sweat from your forehead away, "Like, what was the intention of coming here?"

"We are still trying to find a planet that will be safe for us," Hunter immediately responded without a second to think, "When you are looking for something so important you are willing to take risks. Unfortunately, it was miscalculated, and nothing good has come from this trip."
