Chapter 45: Kaka meets Bondita

Kaka came to Banerjee's place with Anirudh and Barrister Banerjee.
"Nibaron jara tumhare ginni ma ko bulake lao..." ordered Banerjee
"R a Trilochan babu aap bathiye na..." Banerjee offered Kaka the sofa..
Anirudh is uncomfortable. He very well know that Bondita is going to behave adversely after seeing kaka. He just imagined how many "nalayak" and "ullu la pattha" he has to hear infront of the Banerjee's.  His prestige is at stake.

Banerjee met with his wife "accha suno tum Bondita ko leke ayo..."
"Keu??"
"R a leke ayo na.... tabiyat thick hain na uski?"
"Ha thick to hain... per dawai nehi kha rahi.. kehti hain ki karwi hain.... accha main lati hu use..."
Kakima took Bondita with her..
"Hum kaha ja rahe hain kakima?"
"Pata nehi... tumhare kakababu ne pukara... ab tumhare pati babu bhi ay geye honge... use agar pata chala ki tumnain dawai nehi khaya to datega woh tumhain..."
Bondita took a gulp
Sanjoy saw Anirudh in the room and entered..
"Dada... woh Bondita.. boudi to dawai kha hi nehi rahi... kehti hain ki karwi hain nehi khayegi... aap use khila dijiye ga... uske baad injection bhi lagwana hoga... main ab syringe tut ne ka risk nehi le sakta.. ap hi ko samhal na hain..."
Kaka was looking at them..
"Dawai.... injection.... Anirudh keya hua hain bahu ko?!"

Bondita and kakima entered the baithakkhana.... kaka saw Bondita and gave a wide smile...
"Bahu..." kaka got up and went towards her..
Bondita squeezed her brows and looked at him with suspicion
"Mujhe pata hain ab pati babu ke sath saazish karke aye ho... yeh Bondita fasne wali nehi hain..."
Bondita ran away quickly...
Kaka was left confused... "saazish? !" ... then he looked back at Anirudh. Anirudh moved his face back.
"Anirudh maine tere sath aisi kon si sazish ki hain jo mujhe hi nehi pata??"
"Nehi woh kaka.... woh apko jo chitthi bheji thi na... usmain likha tha ki aap ake Bondita ko le jao.... aur..."
"Aur woh bahu ne padh li aur tu bhi use leke acche se dara dhamka diya bahu ko..."
Anirudh itched his head... "woh jid kar rahi thi to.. woh..."
Sanjoy looked at the clock...
"Uff  ab kaise samjhau use..." exclaimed kaka
"Main bata dunga na kaka.."
"Ha tu bata dega aur woh biswas kar legi.... sawal o ka pahar khari kar degi... tujse accha barrister hain woh nalayak...."
"Ha woh to hain" Anirudh whispered with a smile
"Dada dawai.." Sanjoy whispered near Anirudh's ear..
Banerjee and kakima were just staring at them. Kakima signed Banerjee..
"Trilochan babu aap under ayiye.. under ake apki bahu ko samjha lijiye..."
"Ha ha..."
Bondita was sitting on the bed bluffing her cheeks. Kaka entered the room along with Anirudh. Banerjee and kakima followed.
"Bahu..."
"Mujhe bat nehi karni apse... katti hain meri apse..."
"Achha Trilochan babu main apke liye chai banake lati hu... kitna sakkar du.."asked kakima
Kaka was going to reply but Bondita intervened "malai ke sath ek chamach gur...."
Bondita replied still bluffing her cheeks..
Kaka smiled and caressed her head... "meri bahu ko sab malum hain... kitni peyari hai.... ish nalayak ne ulta sidha bola na bahu... ha? Akdam biswas na karo uspe..."
Sanjoy entered with the medicine...
"Accha... to fer ap keu aur kaise ay geye yaha???"
Kaka had the full answer but somewhere he felt uncomfortable to reply.....
"Beta woh hum Barrister sahab ke paas aye the na ak mukaddame ke liye... waha hi yeh tumhari pati babu dikh geye...."
"Aur woh chitthi... registry chitthi to ek din ke under pauch jati hain na?"
"R a chitthi... koi bhi chitthi to nehi paucha..."
"Dawai..." Sanjoy intervened...
"Dawai?? Keu??" Asked kaka...
"Uske haat main itni gehri chot lagi hain yeh baat Bondita ne mujse pura chupake geyi... ghao main septic ho geya hain ab..." Anirudh intervened
"Sep... Bahu tumnain woh dawaiya nehi lagwayi??"
Bondita moved her face...
"Dada abhi ager dawai khilagi injection nehi lagwaya yo tabiyat firse bigar jaigi... otni batain karna thick nehi uske liye ab..." said Sanjoy
"Baat karna bhi kaun chahata hain.." Bondita moved away her face...
"R a bahu hum ish nalayak ki baat sunke nehi aye...."
Bondita didn't bother
"Mujhe pati babu ke sath hi rehna hain..."
Anirudh took the medicine and gave it to her. Bondita looked at his eyes. He was staring harshly. She quickly gulped the medicine. Sanjoy cane with the syringe. Anirudh moved her face. She didn't react so as to show her anger and jid to all.
Kaka came out of the room. Anirudh made Bondita sleep.
"Main so jaungi to aap mujhe kakasasurji ke sath Tulsipur to nehi bhej doge na?"
"So jao Bondita..." Anirudh caressed her head... she didn't want to fall asleep but she had to fall asleep.
Kaka was drinking tea and sharing a talk with Banerjee at the baithakkhana. Banerjee praised Anirudh much..
"Ha ha humara Anirudh to hain hi heera... akher Roy Choudhury o ka beta hain na..."
Anirudh entered the baithakkhana and sat on a sofa..
"So geyi Bahu.."
"Ji kaka" Anirudh replied slowly in a low tone...
"R a itna dukhi keu ho raha hain tu... "
"Woh to jana hi nehi cha rahi..." Anirudh suddenly had a plan and literally jumped and hold kaka's hand "kaka abhi woh so rahi hain... ap use le jao.."
Kaka chocked
"Keya!.... pagal hain tu ha... main bhi na.. tu to pagal hi hain....... tu tere biwi ko nehi pechanta... mere shir main ek bhi baal nehi rahenge agar aisa kiya to.... firse bhagne ki kosis karegi...." kaka's tone turned sad.. "mujhse abhi hi thick se baat nehi kar rahi... tab to nafrat karegi.... nehi nehi beta... aisa hum nehi kar sakte..."
"Jaise agar bura na mane to ek baat bolu.." intervened  Banerjee "agar Bondita yaha rahe to humain koi apatti nehi.... hum uske liye Anirudh ke kamre main ek aur khatiya laga denge..."
Kaka was uncomfortable
"Woh to apka barappan hain Banerjee babu... per Anirudh yaha kaam ke silsile main rehta hain.. waha bahu ka rehna..."
"Bondita humari beti jaisi hi hain... humari bhi ek beti thi.... bilkul aisi hi daurti thi bak bak karti thi..."
"Bacche to bare hote hi hain... shadi ho geyi uski?"
Anirudh stared confusingly. He never heard of Banerjee's daughter
"Bari kabhi hui i nehi woh.... pata nehi kaisi bimari hui... desh bidesh ke koi doctor ilaz nehi kar paya... humari akho ke samne hi..." Banerjee sighed
Kakima wiped her tears...
Kaka was a bit moved. He understood Banerjee's are seeing Bondita as their long lost daughter.
