A few hours go by. Nolan and I are sitting on the bed in silence, too numb to do anything.
"Nolan" my croaky, numb voice whispers.
"Yeah" his voice cracks.
"He's gone isn't he?" I say praying this is all a huge, terrible nightmare.
Nolan eats his head on top of mine.
"Emily I'm so sorry" he pulls my head closer to his chest and starts to tear up again.
My body is limp and too numb to cry anymore.
"What am I supposed to do anymore?" How will I go on without him?" I say staring off into space.
Nolan shakes his head. It's a question nobody can answer. Half of my body is still in shock, the other half in pain. Pain from the accident, the trauma and the fact that only a couple of hours ago I lost the one man I truly loved. The man who was my soulmate.
