"Since when did you get interested in gaming?" Jeno asked as he helped setting up the computer stuff in Chaerin's room as she invited him over to help her.

"Since...a few days ago" she said, lying. She had to get hi attention somehow and without having any classes with him she never knew how to and this was the only way she could think of.

"Okay so, you know what the CPU and GPU does right?" He asked looking at her and she smiled, shaking her head making him chuckle

"Okay well the CPU, which stands for Central Processing Unit is your go-to, general-purpose processor. It keeps control of all the calculations where as a GPU-"

"This is so boring" she said with an exasperated sigh as she laid onto her bed and jeno laugh, showing his signature eye smile

"Then why did you call me down here to help if you're not gonna listen?" He asked, looking down at her body sprawled out on the bed

"Because I'm bored and I thought gaming would be fun but its just like every other thing in my life right now, complicated" she said with a sigh and jeno reached out his hand to help her up but she had another motive.

Using his hand to pull him down towards her, jeno came nearly crashing down onto her bed on top of her. Thankfully his reflexes kicked in and he was able to hover over her than flatten her out like a pancake.

"What....are you.....doing?" He asked with wide eyes as he realised the atmosphere had changed around them. Both of them alone in her room, laying on her bed and none of her parents were home.

"Why didn't you come see me after the party?" She asked, trying to stick with her plan, and he sighed

"Well....on monday I saw mark in my computer science class so I just.....I dont know, people were saying you guys were back together again so i didnt want to get in the way of anything" jeno explained

"Well....me and mark are just friends.....and I'm....ready now" she said and jeno couldn't help but smile

"So what does that make us?" She asked, she couldn't believe it was getting easier and easier for her to lie to people, take advantage of people's feelings. She was becoming like her old self again and as much as she hated that, she had to.

"Well...how about we talk about this over some dinner instead?" Jeno suggested and she nodded with a small smile

"Next week?" He asked

"Sounds perfect" she whispered back. Their eyes never stopped looking into each other's. While she did have to admit that he was good looking and indeed very sexy, she never had feelings for him romantically. But tonight she had to.

"I really want to kiss you right now" Jeno whispered, thinking that he was receiving the correct signals due to her body language. Her eyes said something to him, but he couldn't see that they were lies.

"Then what's stopping you?" She asked making him smirk before planting his slowly on the corner of her lips to ask for her permission nearly. 'Let's get this over with' she thought as she tilted her head to the side, picking his lips up to her pace as she kissed him without trying to let her emotions get in the way, if they were to, she might have just cried that the guy she was kissing wasn't haechan.

"So did you get any games downloaded last night?" Jeno asked as he made his way to Chaerin's locker, perking the interest of Haechan who was a few lockers down

"Uhh not yet, I'm thinking I should get them maybe after the SNU entrance exam" she said with a smile as she filed her bag with books for the day.

"I've gotta get going to my physics class but I'll call you later" she said and he nodded with a smile

"I'll be waiting" he said, turning around and leaving as she wore a fake smile on her face which slowly faltered.

"Lee Mark, Lee Haechan, Lee Jeno.....who's next? Lee Taeyong? Our maths teacher?" Jaemin asked, circling his key ring around his index finger as he approached Chaerin making her avoid his eyes which screamed murder

"Make sure to think twice before messing with my friends...alright?" He asked, intimidatingly

"I'm....not messing with them" she said with a sigh and he scoffed

"Yeah....I'll be the one making sure of that" he said before walking off, of course after shooting her the infamous death glare.

before she could make her way to her home room, the vibration of her phone made her look down at the notification as she walked down the hallways.

unknown number: go on a date today with mark. 5-8pm. you'll regret it if I catch you with Haechan.

looking around the halls and scanning for  anyone that could have been looking at her, she accidentally bumped into someone, making her books along with her phone land on the floor.

"fucks sake, watch where you're going!" jaemin hissed as he bent down towards the ground to pick up his own belongings that had fell. he returned back to the hallway he once left to get haechan's maths book and ended up colliding with the girl he now hated, and jaemin was never quick to hate anyone.

picking up her phone thinking it was his, his concerned eyes scanned the crack on the screen but they narrowed as they saw the contents of the message that was on display. he raised an eyebrow in confusion as he looked at her pick up her belongings with very shaky hands.

jaemin wasn't stupid, he had been paying close attention to the sudden changes in her personality whenever mark or haechan was around. it was different, and it wasn't how Chaerin would normally act. the faint conspiracy in his mind helplessly fell to his lips as he remained intrigued

"is....someone making you do things you don't want to?" he asked carefully, slowly as he watched her reaction to the questions. her movements abruptly halting and her eyes widening with lips parting in shock.

"Chaerin?" he asked and she finally turned her attention to his strict eyes.

"n-no.....why would y-you say tha- can I have my phone back?" she asked, reaching for her phone only to have him pull it further from her.

"is someone stalking y-"

"jaemin please...just give me my phone and forget it" she said with tears welling in her eyes. they were both crouched onto the floor with her leaning into him helplessly as she reached for her phone.

"tell me. why is someone ordering you to mess with my frie-"

"no I....cant....I dont....I don't want to hurt you as well" she said, squeezing her eyes shut tight incase she had let out more than she was meant to. at the sound of her statement jaemin's eyes softened as his grip on her phone relaxed and she was finally able to take it from him.

"what...is....going on here?" Haechan asked with a slightly disappointed voice as he broke the tense eye contact Chaerin was having with jaemin instantly. scurrying to her feet, she clasped her books in her hands, and rushing away from them. haechan of course reached out to stop her but she only harshly pulled away from his grasp making him sigh.

"did you say something to her?" he asked sternly as he looked at jaemin who was in deep thought

"I just....told her to move out of my way" jaemin said, not fully focusing on haechan's presence which came to look for him, passing him and walking into the home room making haechan reach into his own locker for the maths book which was now long forgotten about.

jaemin looked at Chaerin who looked back at him with pleading eyes, begging him to drop the subject and keep it to himself. so that's what he did. he sent a reassuring smile, a small one at that, before returning to his seat and getting out his physics book.
