the entire table gasped at what nina had said, including me.

i never would've expected nina to drop out.

i guess you can't always assume.

"what?!"
kevin yelled in complete rage.

"yeah. i dropped out."
she repeated.

"why. after all i've done for you!"

"that's the thing! i've never done anything for me, it's always been for you! you have no idea how hard it was for me. always being mistaken for a maid or the help, do you think it felt good to come back here knowing that i failed everyone?!"

i was beginning to get uncomfortable and nudged at y/n.

she looked over at me quirking an eyebrow.

"maybe we should get outta here..the tension is getting overwhelming."

she nodded, taking my hand and sneaking us both out of the door.

as we walked to the club there was complete silence, and i enjoyed the silence.

i looked over at y/n as she stared into the stars,
"the stars are out tonight."
she smiled, turning to me.

and for a moment everything around us was a blur, it was just me and her.

"i adore you, y/n."
i said caressing her face.

she suddenly pulled herself away from me, looking down at the ground.
"we should get going.."

"did i do something wrong?"
i asked.

"no.. let's just go."

...

we arrived at the club, i had no idea where to go so i just followed y/n, she seemed to know the way around this place.

i get so busy with the shop that i rarely ever get to go to things like this. i should really get out more.

i was snapped out of my thoughts by a tap on my shoulder, "you look tense, how bout a drink?" she yelled, trying to make sure i could be hear her over the music.

"something sweet?"
i asked.

she nodded as she approached the bar
"can i get a—"
she began.

"hey, you."
a man interrupted.

"me?"
she replied.

"yea, you. may i have this dance?"

"nah, i have a date, that's mad disrespectful of you."
she answered, gesturing toward me.

"no, it's fine, i mean if you want to."
i shrugged, trying to cover my jealousy with a nonchalant act.

"really? you don't mind?"

"'nah."

she nodded, smirking as the man led her onto the dance floor.
