i turned over to him, catching him eating a bag of lay's from the bodega and snatching it from him.

"hey! i was eating that, and what exactly are you doing today?"

"asking out y/n."

"oh c'mon, you say that every few weeks then freeze up around her every single time."
he rolled his eyes not buying it.

"today's different."
i assured.

i watched the door swing open and in she walked.

"speak of the devil."
sonny snickered.

"hush!"
i whispered-yelled, nudging him in the side with my elbow.

i watched as she walked throw the aisles, looking closely at each item on each shelve, i might've been imagining things but i swear for a second her eyes glistened.

"so. when ya gonna ask her out lover boy?"
asked benny, breaking my trance.

"when'd you get here?"
i quirked an eyebrow.

"while you were drooling over y/n."

i wiped my mouth just to make sure he wasn't serious.

she asked, looking up at me.

i fibbed.

she said handing me the money.

"oh no, it's—it's on the house."
i insisted, handing it back to her.

she smiled, kissing my cheek and walking out.
