Camp out

(A/n I figured I should mention that Benny and y/n are not dating currently just in case anyone was confused)

"Camp out!"

We all made our way out of the Sandlot while Ham explained to Smalls what a camp out exactly was and where to meet us and what time to be there. Benny grabbed my hand and slowed our pace so we were behind everybody. He stopped walking and looked at me and hesitated before saying.

"Can I walk you home?" Benny asked

"Yeah of course." I responded

"Cool..." Benny sounded like he wanted to say something else but I wasn't gonna push him to say it. Once again we made it to my house a little to quick for our liking but it was alright.

"So I'll pick you up and we can walk to the club house together?" Benny asked

"Yeah I'd like that"

"Great!" Benny smiled and kissed my cheek. I started blushing a bit and Benny smiles at me "See ya later Princess."

"Bye Benny." I said waving at him.

I had finished getting ready and had my sleeping bag all put together, I was just waiting for Benny to pick me up. He didn't actually give me a time to be ready by so I was just sitting in my living room waiting for him to knock on the front door.

"Y/n honey who are you waiting for? I thought you were gonna go to the clubhouse?" My mom said

"Oh I am, I'm just waiting for-"

"Her boyfriend Benny! She's waiting for Benny." James said smiling

"I got ya back little sis don't worry." James whispered

I stared at him in terror.

"BENNYS YOUR BOYFRIEND! Oh that makes me so happy y/n you don't understand! Im so glad you found someone perfect for you. Although why couldn't you wait a few more years, now I have to give Carla forty bucks..." My mom said

"We aren't dat- wait why do you and Carla have a bet going about my relationship with Benny?" I said curiously

"Well we always had a sneaking suspicion about you two.."

"Well we aren't dating yet so you still have a chance to win mom!"

"YOU STILL AREN'T DATING?! Y/N THIS IS CAUSING ME PHYSICAL PAIN!" James yelled

"Shut up he could be here any second!" I said back

"Well I hope he does hear maybe he could get the balls to ask you out!"

I sighed in annoyance and checked the clock once more before I heard a knock at the door.

"Y/n! I'm here!" Benny yelled

"Oh shit he's here!" My mom whispered

"No really!" I said sarcastically

"Don't give me attitude young lady! Now don't keep your boyfriend waiting!" My mom said pushing me out the door.

"So boyfriend huh?" Benny said smirking

"Shut up Benny"

"Uh huh okay Princess." Benny said happily while putting his arm around me and leading the way to the clubhouse
