I went to the locker room to change my scrubs, some of the food spilled to my clothes so I have to change to a new one. I hurriedly changed and get a new set of food for her, why does she have to be like that?
"Hey Lis you're here already" Rosé said as she change from scrubs into t-shirt
"Yeah, are you going anywhere?"
"Yes, I'll be having lunch outside and have the rest of the day off since I covered Chae's shift last time"
"Oh, good for you" I replied
"What happened to your scrubs?" she asked
"Oh, the food spilled on it so I have to change. I don't want to walk around the hospital nasty"
"Why tho? Oh no nevermind, Miss Bae?" I just shrugged and put the dirty scrubs in a plastic bag
"Well, I'll get going now then bye"
"Byeee"
I'm now outside her room and was about to open the door when I heard that she's talking to someone
"Like I told you I don't wanna go abroad just to get cured. There's no cure for my disease anymore so stop wasting your time to convince me"
"Don't say something like that, I already saved enough money. The doctors abroad are much better"
"Stop wasting your money for me, save it for yourself you're already paying so much for my hospital bills here"
"Like I told you I'm not the one paying for your bills here, it's someone else"
"Stop lying"
"I'm not lying"
"Whatever"
I feel so bad for eavesdropping that's why I knocked and opened the door. The girl she was talking to immediately stood up and walked towards me. "Hi I'm Bae Suzy, Joo-hyun's sister"
She said as she extended her hand
I immediately placed what I'm carrying on the table and shook her hand "I'm Nurse Lisa"
"So you're the stubborn nurse?"
"Excuse me, the what?" I said as I jokingly put my right hand in front of my chest "if anyone is stubborn here it's your sister" we both laughed and earned a glare from the latter
"Doesn't your eyes hurt from glaring?" she immediately rolled her eyes
"Anyway I have your new food here, so please don't spill it again since I don't have extra scrubs in my locker" I went beside her bed and sat on the chair "Now aaaaa"
At first she was hesitant but she then gave up, she opened her mouth and she let me feed her. "Usually the nurses and doctors here won't even get close to her, they put a distance for atleast 2 meters" Suzy said while smiling
"Don't you have anywhere else to go?" Joo-hyun asked curtly
"Oh so now you want to solo her? Okay I'll get going then. I'll visit again next week" Suzy then went to Joo-hyun and pecked her cheeks
"Bye, feed her well sister-in-law" then she hurriedly ran towards the door and went out before I can even say goodbye
"I like your sister she's adorable" I said as I held a spoon in front of her mouth
"Don't hit on my sister"
"I'm not"
"But you said you like her"
"I like her but not in 'that' kind of way"
"Good"
"Do I look like some heartbreaker?" I asked
"No"
"Don't get me wrong okay? But what's wrong if I hit on your sister?"
"Because you're too nice"
"A while ago I was stubborn and now I'm nice?" I laugh "Is that a bad thing?"
"Yes because bad things happen to nice people, so when you're hurt the people that loves you will get hurt too. Hence my sister, if ever"
"Bad things happens to everyone" I said as I opened the water bottle and gave it to her. After she drank she looked at me straight in the eyes
"But bad things happens mostly to good people all the time. Why? Because God wants them to learn something. Serioulsly speaking I don't get his logic"
"Okay where is this conversation going? You're now extremely talkative" I smiled
"Is that a bad thing" she mimicked what I said
"No its not, it's actually better. I like it"
"Now you're hitting on me"
"No, I'm not"
"But you want to" she said whole looking at me like a lying detector scanning for some lies
I laugh nervously "No" I shrieked. I cleared my throat and said it again but this time I'm more composed "No" Damn it where did all my confidence go?
"Okay" good thing she let it slide "I have now decided to be nice to you and the other nurses and doctors
"Really, like for real? No more mess in this room?"
"Yep" she said popping the 'p'
"No more shouting?"
"Yep"
"You'll eat and drink your medicine on time?"
"Yep"
"And you'll follow everything that the doctors say?
"Well that depe--" I look at her sternly
"Yep"
"Took you long enough, what changed your mind?" I asked
"It's something that someone said to me that made me realize something"
"What is it?
"None of your business" she said as she lied down and hid her self in the blanket
"Okay, I won't ask. Good bye" I softly said and went outside
