"but...." he said making her look at him

"but?" she asked

"i had my attention on you the whole night" he said making her blush

"you sure know how to use words to your advantage Lee" she said making him chuckle

"well what about you? would you rather be dancing with jeno?" haechan asked and she smiled

"he was so sexy" she said

"but?" he asked but she smirked before continuing to tease him

"like incredibly hot, especially in that black shirt he wore" she said making him hum with slight annoyance, but he knew exactly what game she was playing, so he continued to sway, waiting her to finish

"but?" he pressed on making her chuckle

"i could almost feel his abs when we danced together, and his voice-"

"okay the 'but' should have came out by now" haechan said with slight irritance making her laugh as she cupped his pouting face in her hands

"but....he wasn't you" she said making him blush this time. 

"that's a good thing" she said, joking making him drop his jaw in betrayal 

"and to the streets you go" he said exaggerating his irritation making her apologise and laugh as she hugged him 

"i wasn't done" she said making him look at her with a scoff

"its a good thing because, if he was you..... i might have just died on the spot" she said and he rolled his eyes with a smile creeping up to his lips

"and i'm the one that's good with words?" he asked with a scoff making her chuckle as they both continued to sway to the music

"chae...i need to tell you something" he said looking into her eyes and she nodded as she felt him take her hands into his slightly clammy ones, he was beyond nervous.

"i dont....want to keep this a secret anymore" he said making her smile softly

"i don't want to spend another day at school pretending as if i don't care about you because i do...i really really do. more than i've ever cared about anyone. and i want the whole world to know that i have the hottest girlfriend" he said making her chuckle

"do you...think we could...try?" he asked as his shoulders dropped in relief as he let out the words he had been holding back for such a long time

"yeah...i want to" she said making him lose his words

"really?" he asked hopefully and she nodded

"i realised just how much competition i have" she said making him chuckle

"competition?" he asked and she hummed

"there's so many other girls that like you...and i don't like that" she said making him pout

"i can't help it, i'm just that hot" he said and she rolled her eyes at his confident comment

"but...you don't have any competition, i'm all yours...love" he said before placing his lips onto hers, a passionate kiss ensuing. the most passionate one they had ever shared. they both couldn't help but smile into the kiss.

"just come inside for two seconds" she pleaded making him look at her nervously

"no, they already hate me and now that you're drunk they would probably burn me at the sta-"

"okay my parents are not witch hunters, it was a date and i had a few drinks and my amazing boyfriend, drove me home" she said making him chuckle

"maybe some other ti-" before he could finish his sentence, he was being dragged out of the driver's seat towards the front door of her house.

"chae this is a ba-"

"why are you home so la-" her mother's sentence cut off as she viewed haechan standing beside her brightly smiling daughter. something she hadn't seen chaerin do for a while was smile this brightly.

"i had a date" she said giggling and her mother chuckled at her, not bothering to get mad at her daughter for drinking on a school night surprisingly.

"i should...get going" haechan said and chaerin wrapped her arms around his preventing him from leaving

"come inside" she asked with a pout and his eyes went to her mother with a nervous glance. he didn't want to mess up his chances even more of having chaerin as his girlfriend

"i'm making some....herbal tea. do you...want to join us haechan?" her mother asked with a soft smile and he chuckled nervously

"i..dont want to intrude" he said making her smile at his manners

"nonsense, i want to hear all about this date" her mother said and chaerin eventually dragged him into the house.

"is dad home?" chaerin asked, taking off the jacket that haechan had given her as she left his house.

"they called him for an overnight flight, shortage of pilots, he'll be back tomorrow morning though" her mother said and she nodded

"take a seat, i'll go get the tea" her mother said before leaving the two in the big living room and haechan looked around at the baby photos on the walls that he still had several polaroids of.

"your dad is a pilot?" haechan asked and she nodded

"i guess i better be careful then" he said and chaerin rolled her eyes

"why? scared he might make you jump without a parachute?" she asked and he chuckled

"yup, my number one fear"
