TW: transphobia, misgendering, dysphoria
Today was gonna be a good day, Atsushi looked in the mirror and he looked nice. He even told himself it was gonna be a good day.
Well, he was mostly wrong. It started out nicely but then he kept getting misgendered by clients. Which ultimately feels terrible.
"Hey mister, do you like cats?," Atsushi turned around and saw a young child looking up at him.
"Yeah I love cats," He said, he kneeled down to get to the boy's level.
"Are you a girl?" The boy looked genuinely confused.
"Nope, I'm a boy,"
"Do you wanna be a cat lady?"
Well, that was random..."I want to be a cat person," Atsushi said with a smile.
"Ahhh," The boy looked down, "I want to be a cat lady,"
Atsushi chuckled, "That's fine, you can be a cat lady if you want to or feel like you want to,"
"Really?"
"Yup!"
"Marcus!! Get over here!!" The boy looked and saw what Atsushi guessed were his parents looking for him.
"Bye mister," The kid said before running off.
That was cute, Atsushi thought as he walked back to the ADA office.
