10 - Pack Representatives

"Kook, you can't just hog Y/N all to yourself," the tiger hybrid huffs irritably. "She's not just your friend - she's friends with all of us."

The two younger packmates then fall into a silent staring contest before the panther finally relents and tears his gaze away almost unwillingly.

"Hi, Taehyung," you smile, standing up to greet him, as the older male finally wraps you up in a comforting hug.

"You're back so soon to visit us," he smiles at you cutely after pulling back.

"Oh, should I have waited longer?" you tease. Jungkook's ears immediately flicker at your statement and wedges himself in between you and Taehyung.

"No, that's not what I meant!" the older male clarifies in alarm, eyes wider than usual. "I'm just-"

"Every time," Namjoon heaves as he finally catches up to the three of you. "How many times do I need to tell you two, not to run up and attack Y/N whenever she comes to visit?"

"How many times have we told you we're not going to listen," Taehyung sasses back. You bite your bottom lip to stifle your laugh when you notice the blank and unimpressed expression Namjoon is throwing at the tiger.

"Anway," the leader declares before clearing his throat softly. "What brings you here on a weekday at noon?"

"I'm actually on my way to a meeting," you say matter-of-factly.

"Oh? And you just wanted to stop by?" Namjoon hums.

"Somewhat," you shrug. "I'm meeting with Mr. Choi to discuss the plan for your house."

"Mr. Choi, the lawyer?" the white panther tilts his head in confusion.

"I know lawyers don't usually get involved with matters after the inheritances are received, but he's really the only one I can turn to right now. So he offered to meet up with me during his lunch break to help me formulate an overall plan," you explain.

"That's nice of him," Taehyung hums in approval.

"It is," you nod in agreement. "And I was wondering if one or two of you would like to join me so that you guys can also be involved in the process."

"You'd be okay with that?" Namjoon beams.

"Of course," you assure him quickly.

"Well then let's go ask the pack who would like to go," he suggests before motioning you to follow him to the clearing.

As the four of you make your way past the thick line of forest trees, Namjoon and Taehyung are walking slightly in front of you while Jungkook lingers behind at a slower pace to stay by your side. Every now and then you feel the black panther hybrid brush his tail against your arm or upper back and when you glance down at him, he averts his eyes from your gaze. Yet, you're still able to catch the small, almost human-like, smirk pulling on his snout.

"Is there something you'd like to say, Jungkook?" you ask in amusement when he does it again for the fifth time. Namjoon and Taehyung don't physically turn their heads back to look at you two, but you catch the sight of their ears flickering slightly so you know they're listening in on the commotion.

The black panther hybrid walking beside you lets out a play sort of grumble while shaking his head cutely.

"You keep brushing me with your tail - it's almost like you want something?" you question further. When the youngest hybrid lets out a playful growl, you quirk an eyebrow out of curiosity.

"He said he doesn't know what you're talking about," Taehyung translates with a faint chuckle.

"Oh, I see," you hum, unconvinced. However, you decide to drop the playful banter as the four of you finally make it to the large clearing where the others are gathered.
