A/N: SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THEIR WEDDING RINGS HEHE

The anger within Sukuna mounted slowly. Partly because he didn't know who Kento Nanami was, which later on seemed to infuriate him even more; his soon-to-be wife kept something like this from him. The grip he had on the letter tightened slightly as his eyes quickly glossed over the letter's contents.

From the corner of his eye, he saw [y/n]'s chest rise and fall erratically. Her guilt-ridden face along with the bold kanji of Nanami's name on the letter made an utter mockery of Sukuna. Before he knew it, an absolutely murderous glint overtook his cold, monotonous eyes. The anger that was swelling blocked all rational thought within him. He threw his head back and let out a laugh that sent chills down your spine.

His arm shot out and hit the wardrobe behind you, missing your face with only a few inches. As he leaned in over your ear, you could feel his warm breath making every piece of hair on your body stand up.

In that humorous, sinister tone of his Sukuna said, "Next time he sends a letter, his head will come along with it." With that, he began to walk away. As he headed out, he set fire to the letter using his sorcerer abilities.

His threat of beheading Nanami rang through your head as you watched the ashes of the letter slowly dance around the room. As ashes fell towards the floor in a defeated manner, you did the same, unable to support yourself.

But strangely enough, looking at the blackened ashes scattered around you, you couldn't help but be thankful that it wasn't you. Sukuna could've very easily set fire to you instead of the letter. Taking that as a small sign of hope, you knew you could fix this.

Sukuna could not comprehend why the letter had angered him so much. After all, she's just a sacrificial lamb to his political endeavours. However, the amulet of the Dove did choose them as a pair so maybe that explains why there's an undeniable pull between them.

Maybe that's why even the thought of her with another man makes him to want to burn everything down. But as he tried his best to act unbothered, he couldn't help but see her actions as disrespectful. Ever since she's got here, the one thing she's done is refuse to obey.

Well it's not like I could throw her in a dungeon for a few days, he thought to himself. Well technically he could do that but he didn't want to, not so close to the wedding date anyways.

Thinking of the wedding, he let out a small sigh and ran his fingers through his hair. In doing so, he sat upon his office chair and began to work out the details.

The wedding itself will be private but Sukuna wanted to submit a few photos to the local newspapers. He can't hide her forever so he'd reveal her himself. Besides, foolish people are bound to believe that he's changed once they see him in traditional Japanese attire, next to a beautiful bride.

Well that, and Sukuna has been killing evil curses every single day for the past few months; he saved countless innocent people.

He had never seen such an epidemic of deadly curses in the past 1000 years, and he had a pretty good idea on what's causing it all. Either way, for the first in history he has become somewhat of a "hero" or at the very least, "not the most evil bastard alive."

The landline ringing pulled him out of his thoughts. The call was from an engagement ring shop and they notified him that his shipment was ready to be picked up.

"The custom wedding rings for the bride and groom are ready for pickup my lord," the shopper owner said.

"I don't remember ordering a ring for myself?" Sukuna replied. He had just thought he'd buy a generic ring since he didn't care much about that stuff, nor had the time to.

"Your bride had a ring custom made for you my lord."

Sukuna couldn't believe it. The woman who has declared countless times that she loathes him purchased a ring for him? As much as he hated to admit it, this news had dispelled some of the anger he harboured for her earlier.

And with impeccable timing, [y/n] the walked into the room, looking slightly afraid but mostly apologetic. She was wearing a full length black dress that exposed her collarbones. Sukuna couldn't help but stare.

"I'm sorry about the letter. I shouldn't have hide it either. I know that you're marrying me for political reasons so I'll be more careful next time," she said confidently.

Sukuna remained silent for a moment. He got up and started walking out the door. Just as [y/n] was losing hope, he turned around and said, "Let's go pick up our engagement rings."

Sukuna had the shop owner vacate all customers prior to your arrival. So as both of you walked into this tiny boutique, not even the shop owner was around. Instead, two velvet ring boxes were placed atop of the glass counter by the entrance.

Sukuna showed the ring he had ordered for you first and it took your breath away. The white gold band had intricate carved details, while the centre had a stunning red diamond. Never in your life you thought you'd be able to own a diamond, much less one of the rarest diamonds in the world. The ring also made you excited because of well it matched with the one you had designed for Sukuna.

Satisfied with the rings, Sukuna left a few wads of cash on the counter before taking your hand and walking you home. At the moment, the only thing on your mind was finalizing the wedding dress.

For once, it felt like you and Sukuna were a normal couple. Sadly, normality can only last so long when you're married to the King of Curses.
