Chapter 11

Talia's POV

I let the silence ring around the room.

"But" I continue, "he rejected me. He didn't even really have a reason too except I guess... I can't give birth."

Atlanta's eyes widen.

"Alec wanted a son more than anything, to take over when he was gone. When I failed to have a child, he turned very bitter."

"Then why does he keep you around?" Ethan asks, curiosity in his eyes.

"How nice of you" I glare at Ethan. "But he kept me round because I had my uses. My father was a Beta, I was very popular with everyone and I am attractive."

"Modest much" Atlanta laughs a little nervously.

"So, when he found you. His other mate. Who, I guess, can have a child, I wasn't in the picture anymore at all." I finish.

I sigh and look down at the floor. Why did I tell them? It was Alec and I's secret and now those two knew. I don't even know why I stick around, apart from the fact that I would then be a rogue.

There is silence in the room, followed by frantic knocking on the door. Atlanta jumps which amuses me.

"So what do you want us to do about it? " Ethan whispers.

"Is anyone in there?" I hear voices on the other side of the door.

I direct for Atlanta and Ethan to hide under the desk and then I make my way calmly to the door, opening it just wide enough for them to see me.

"Yes?" I ask innocently. It's Joey.

"Have you seen them anywhere?" he asks anxiously. "Everyone thinks they might have escaped.

I laugh. "No" I state. "I haven't seen them anywhere."

"Alec says you were very close with the rogue."

I tense.

"You were very close to Atlanta" I say calmy and casually lean against the doorway. 

Joey smirks, "hardly. Why are you leaning against the doorway anyway?" 

I shrug. "I can help you look for them" I said. "But I've just been looking in here and they are not anywhere to be seen. I think they are long gone by now." 

Atlanta's POV

I'm so scared. I can hear them talking and I'm just glad Talia is good at talking. But it leaves me thinking... what does she want out of this? 

Talia's POV

"I really should check in here myself." 

I look shocked, "Joey, do you not trust me?" 

"No no" he says, "it's not that... it's just that... Alec doesn't." 

My heart breaks. 

"You!" I growl and take a step towards him, he backs away. "Get out of my sight." 

He shifts into wolf form and runs away. 

Sighing, I shut the door behind me again and lean against it. I don't know what to do anymore. Alec doesn't trust me? Was Joey lying? I don't know anymore. No, it's more than that. I don't care. Alec has caused me enough sadness to last me a lifetime. I have to leave him behind. I now know what it was that made me protect Ethan and Atlanta. They are running away and I want to go with them.

Sorry I swapped POV's a lot in this chapter but yeah... do you guys still like Alec? Do you think Talec should get back together?
