Chapter 12: Third Red String

=Rainbow Academy: Mystic Garden=

/Ayame's POV/

I was practicing random spells inside the Mystic Garden so I could avoid making casualties in the other premises

I've been here for about an hour or two now, I think?

I was about to cast another one when a slight tug on my right pinky finger distracted me

"Eh? Oh, my red string..." I muttered, raising my right pinky finger to my eye level and moved it around a bit

"Hello? Is anyone here?" A lazy voice called out as I turned my head around still with my finger on my eye level

"Hi there, how may I help you?" I asked, turning my body towards the person

"Oh... this red string is connected to yours" Murasakibara-san said, as his gaze switched to his string to my string and back again

"I guess you're right" I answered, turning back around to practice the interrupted spell once again

"Wait a damn minute" I muttered, turning around to him again abruptly as he just looked down at me, like literally

"You're so small..." Murasakibara-san suddenly blurted out

"Ugh, this bitch, who does he think he is? Just because he has a tall stature, he can call me out for being small, huh?" I thought

"Then why don't you give me some of your height, huh?" I sassed, raising an eyebrow at him

"You know that's not really possible, right?" He said

"Then don't tell me I'm small just because you're tall as heck!" I exclaimed

"But you are small" Murasakibara-san stated

"I'm slowly losing my patience to this giant, someone come and take me away before I hit the heck out of him. I don't even care if he's my other end, I want to murder him right here, right now if he doesn't stop calling me 'small'" I rambled on in my head as I just smiled with closed eyes on the outside

"...cute size..." Murasakibara-san quietly said as I looked up at him

"What was that?" I asked

"I said you're a small size" Murasakibara-san said

"Stop calling me 'small'! I swear" I said, exasperated

"Ayame! There you are! We've been looking for you" Cathy called, running over to me

"Eh? What for? Did I miss something?" I asked, turning to her

"Silly, we have practice, remember?" Cathy reminded

"Ah, r-right" I mumbled

"Let's go now- oh, hello, Murasakibara-san, I'll take your other end with me for a while, please excuse us" Cathy said as she pulled me with her

"Why the heck were you arguing with your other end?" Cathy scolded once we were near our classroom and out of Murasakibara-san's earshot

"He was bitching about how I'm small compared to him!" I grumbled

"I mean, all of us are literally small compared to his tall stature" Cathy said

"You're not helping me feel better!" I complained

"I didn't say that to make you feel better, though" Cathy said

"I just want to go back to the dorms and sleep" I mentally sighed
