The girl heard the voices of the doctors cheer her on as they helped to deliver her baby, but they all sounded muffled and drowned out, almost like she was underwater.
As she stared at the ceiling lights above, tears of agony filled her eyes, pain tingling through every bone in her body.
What's happening? What's this intense pain I feel? It hurts, so much. Am I...Am I dying?
But why? Why is this happening?
And why am I holding this handkerchief in my hand? I felt the need to have it, but I don't even know who it belongs to.
I see all these empty silhouettes of people in my mind, as if I'm supposed to know them. But why can't I remember them?
