It was a foggy morning.

Travis woke up and went through his daily routine involving freshening up, and taking his dog for a walk.

But today, something was different.
Travis couldn't identify what.
But whatever he did, it just... Felt new.

He looked at David.

David was behaving peculiarly.
He didn't tease Travis on his choice of clothes or even boast of himself.

For some reason, he seemed to ignore Travis.

"David... is something wrong?", he asked.

David shook his head. He grabbed his phone and started playing Candy Crush as the familiar tune of the game blared from his phone.

Travis decided to let it be.

I'll talk to him in the evening.

At the university...

After the robotics class, Travis walked to his locker.

His phone chimed. He smiled as he looked at the phone's screen.

It was a free session, so some students were relaxing in the student lounge.

Mauve and Alishia were looking at old photos.

Alishia looked at Claire's photo.
Olive skin, berry lips, black eyes- with winged eyeliner, black bob hair in wavy curls and teal highlights.
She was a true beauty.

Claire Vazquez was an American, having Spanish roots. She enrolled in the university two years back, and within a month; had become one of the most popular girls in the university. The social butterfly.

There were times that even Alishia felt envious of her charisma.

But all her friends adored her profoundly.

To Alishia, she was the coolest person she had ever met. Although she had moved on from the incident, it was still difficult to believe sometimes... that Claire was really gone.
