mattia's pov

it felt amazing finally having her in my arms. i never wanted to let go of her but i also needed an explanation. i need to hear what she has to say.

"and i will give you an explanation, mattia"

she caressed my cheek as she gave me one more peck on my lips. her lips instantly calming me. an effect she'll always have on me. i carried her inside as she dug her face into my neck. i led us upstairs, into my room, and put her down.

i looked down at her as she lightly shivered. i quickly took a pair of panties she left here and a hoodie of mine, handing it to her. she gave me a light smile before walking into my bathroom. i changed into my own clothes and waited for her to finish.

i lay my chin on my hands as i stared at the floor. many thoughts ran through my mind. good and bad. should i regret kissing her? no, no mattia. stop letting these intrusive thoughts invade your mind. but what if this was all a mistake? i should've waited for her to talk to me. fuck.

"you okay?"

she walked out of the bathroom, slowly walking up to me. i looked up at her and said nothing. just looked at her beautiful body. she sighed and sat next to me on my bed, laying her head on my shoulder. i lay mine on hers and let her speak.

"it was all a lie. nothing he said was true. i'd never do that to you, matti. i love you too much"

just with those words, she had already convinced me but she continued. she removed her head from my shoulder and looked up at me. her hand on mine as she spoke to me.

"i'm yours and yours only, mattia. my heart belongs to you. i love you so fucking much, baby. don't forget that. i'd never do anything to hurt you, my love."

one tear rolled down her cheek as a few rolled down mine.

"why were you dancing with him?"

i could barely let out my words. i was choking on my tears as i spoke to her.

"he came onto me from behind. i was wasted, mattia. i thought it was you for a second but then realized it wasn't. i didn't have time to react before you came and saw the scene. i promise you the last time i saw him was when we bumped into him at target"

i closed my eyes, taking everything in. she took ahold of my hand and lifted it up, placing it on her red cheek.

"why did you believe him so fast...do you not trust me? now im worried somebody might tell you another lie and you'll believe them over me. that wasn't fair matti."

she whispers to me. her voice breaking as every word came out of her mouth. now i feel guilty. not only did i assume shit but i caused her a lot of pain. she's right. it wasn't fair.

"i do trust you vina. i just wasn't thinking straight. i assumed without hearing you out when i knew i should have. i said things i shouldn't have and i caused so much pain to you when i promised myself i would never do that. not to the person i love more than myself"

i felt her warm tears land on my fingers as more ran down my face. i couldn't stand seeing her cry so i quickly wrapped my arms around her. i felt her warm embrace and slightly smiled knowing she was mine once again.

"im sorry, mama. i really am. you're everything to me. i promise i didn't mean anything i said that night"

i couldn't help but sob in her arms. everything was just so overwhelming to me. she ran her fingers through my hair, calming me at her touch.

"i don't want to ever lose you again, avina"

i whisper. she sniffles and pulls away from me, looking up at my puffy face. she smiles at me and wipes the tears off my eyes.

"you won't, matti"

"promise?"

i stuck my pinky out. she gave me a pretty smile and nodded her head.

"promise"

our pinkies connected as i brought my face closer to hers. our lips touch. her sweet lips against mine making me smile against hers. i lay her down without taking my lips off of hers, removing her hair from her face.

her arms wrap around my neck as i deepen the kiss. i pull away and look at her beautiful face.

"tell me if you want to stop before i can't keep my hands off of you"

"touch me, mattia. i'm all yours"
