avina's pov

i ran downstairs as i swung my backpack around my shoulder. i'm about five minutes late and alejandro is making me walk since he won't let me drive his car and i definitely don't want to be in the same car with him.

i ran towards the fridge and took out a water bottle. i twist the cap as i watch as alejandro walks into the kitchen. we both give each other a look as he walks into the pantry.

fucking jerk.

i sipped my water and put the cap back on as i walked out the door. i popped my airpods in and started towards the school.

i saw mattia waiting for me near my locker making me smile. i put my phone in my pocket and started walking toward him. once he noticed me, a smirk formed on his lips as he put his phone down.

"hi"

he put his arms around me as we shared a hug.

"hi"

i whispered as we pulled away. i opened my locker and shoved my things in there as mattia and i made small talk.

i felt someone staring at me making me turn around. mattia stopped talking, knowing something was wrong. i looked behind me and quickly noticed alejandro staring deep into me as kairi stood by his side.

i rolled my eyes and looked back at mattia who was staring right back at alejandro. i sighed and took his arm, pulling him towards the other side of the school.

"i just don't understand why he won't let us near each other"

he swung his arm around my shoulder as we walked out of the school and towards the bleachers. we still had half an hour till we needed to head to class.

"just let him be. hopefully, he'll understand soon"

i patted his chest and sat on the bleachers. mattia sat behind me as he wrapped his arms around my neck and placed his chin on my head. i smiled and held onto his arms as we talked about something different.

so alexa didn't end up showing up cause she was sick so i was alone for most of my classes. today lowkey sucked.

i leaned my chin on my hand as i stared intensely at the clock. why can't these two minutes pass any faster? i want to leave already.

*ring!*

"and that's the bell. alright, don't forget to do pages forty-two to forty-five on your workbooks!"

the teacher announced as we all started packing our stuff. i pulled out my phone and quickly walked out of the classroom. i ran out of the school and was about to walk home but i felt a familiar arm wrap around my shoulder.

"hi, pretty"

pretty? that's a new one

"hi, mattia"

i smiled, my mood automatically changing. we shared a conversation as he walked us toward his car.

"wait, so you walked here?"

his eyes widen as he unlocked his car. i chuckled a bit as i nod my head.

"avina, you know you could've asked for a ride"

i know he felt bad but i just laughed and shook my head and wrapped my arms around his waist as he placed his arms around my neck. my head resting on his chest as he plants a quick kiss on my head.

"it was fine mattia, really. just go home and text me when you're there"

i removed my arms from him but he took ahold of my hand and shoved me into the passenger seat of his car.

"and he's kidnapping me"

i mumbled to myself as i shook my head. he ran to the driver's seat, got in, and buckled his seatbelt. he looked at me and gave me a childish smile before starting the car.

"ok, passenger princess"

he laughs, placing his hand behind my seat and looks back as he reverses.

"shut the fuck up"
