Summer Skye (A Rise of the Guardians fanfiction)

The Invisian

I looked up at the moon, barely seen through the ruffles of my ball gown. I turned around and watched Wills body drop to the ground. I felt ready to live with him forever as the ground came up closer, and closer, and when I hit, everything went black.

I slowly blinked my eyes open and stared up at the sky. What was my name? A voice spoke in my head, "Hello, my dear Summer. You have a very big job to do."

I was confused. Who was speaking? The voice said again, "my name is Tsar Lunar, utherwise known as the Man in the Moon, but you can call me Manny."

I tried to think about before I fell asleep, but I couldn't remember anything. I smiled and jumped into the air. I can fly! I hovered above the ground before shooting off toward the city. The Welcome sign told me I was entering the city boundaries of Sacramento. I flew over the town and saw an ice rink. It looked like so much fun!

I smiled and inspected the rink. Surprisingly, there were a lot of kids with their parents out on the ice. There was a boy in the center who had white hair and a dark blue hoodie that looked as if there was frost creeping out of the hood. The teenage boy laughed and glided across the ice. Wherever his feet touched, frost spread. Children giggled as they sped across the new ice, and he laughed along with them.

Manny spoke "his name is Jack Frost, but I would reccomend not to..."

I cut him off in the middle by running toward Jack. If those kids couldn't see him, maybe he could see me! I flew across the ice and, with a small "whoosh", I flew right through him. I looked up toward Manny with tears gathering in my eyes. "Why is this? Why can I see him, but he cant see me? He's like me, yet different." I said as I started to sob into my hands.

"My dear, I wasn't going to tell you until you were older, but you have the bad luck as to run into Jack on your first night. He is handsome, is he not?"

I looked back at Jack and nodded as Manny continued. "Every so once in a while, there comes a time when I need more than the Guardians. I need someone to protect the Guardians. You, my girl, are the first Invisian in more than 1,000 years."
