Maybe I'm a star in the dark sky,
A candle in the night,
but I'm also a girl
who fights shadows in her head,
a girl that sometimes wishes she were dead.
I'm not just the girl dancing under the trees,
playing with the fireflies,
singing happily.
I've got scars on my heart,
wounds in my soul,
yet from my pain,
Lord, let a garden grow.
