Start Line

I woke up to feeling someone poking my cheek and opened my eyes slightly to see Tomura looming over me in his shorts and a hoodie and without father on his face

"Wake up gremlin, time for that entrance exam. Kurogiri wants you to actually eat something decent for breakfast instead of candy" he said with his raspy voice

I sat up and rubbed my eyes with my gloved hand and stood up from my bed and into my bathroom as Tomura walked out. I did my daily routine and started getting dressed

Ever since the day I got my new 'quirk' and showed Tomura he was surprised and confused but accepted me. At first I thought it was because he actually cared but when I started thinking more about it maybe he just accepted me because I'm stronger and became a more important pawn in his plan

I noticed how much harder he's been training me and all the missions he now invited me to so I can 'get more experience' though I don't really agree with the type of missions Tomura sends me on I have no choice

Killing people was basically a new sport to me and I always feel uncomfortable with the idea of blood. I don't know why but every time I go out for a mission I never remember anything

I put on black sweatpants and my gray sweater that had red graffiti designs on the back with red converse, I kept my gloves on and walked out of my room to the bar

"Good morning Ray I made you some oatmeal so you have enough energy for the exam" said Kurogiri as I sat down on a bar stool next to Tomura as he also had a bowl of oatmeal in front of him

I look down at the bowl in disgust as I held the spoon with my thumb and pointer finger

I don't eat much food through out the day by choice. I just don't like food in general after years of junk food my stomach can't take anything other than sweets and greasy foods that Tomura would sneak past Kurogiri

I looked at Tomura and could see the disgust on his face through father. He was wearing his usual outfit of all black and father covering his face

"Bet I can finish before you" I said in a low tone to Tomura

He looked at me and smirked under the hand he calls father "Your on brat" he said as he took father off his face and we both started gobbling the oatmeal down

"You two are going to choke" Kurogiri tried stopping us but we just ignored him

Tomura dropped the bowl and spoon with his hands up "Ha I win!!" He said in triumph

I couldn't eat anymore, eating oatmeal at such a fast pace made me want to vomit

"Damn it, I think I'm gonna be sick" I said with my head down and pushing the half eaten bowl of oatmeal away from me

Kurogiri sighed and took the bowl from both of us and put it in the sink, he went to a basket and took out an apple

"At least eat this before you go" he said handing me the apple

"By the way you go by the name Ray Nakamura got it" Tomura asked putting father back on his face

I took the apple, stood up from my seat and started walking towards the middle of the bar "Sure see you guys later" I said as I bite into the apple and walk through one of Kurogiri's portals

When I walked out of the portal I found myself in an alley between two buildings and started walking towards the school taking another bite of the apple

Once I finished the apple I threw it in a nearby garbage can. From my hoodie I took out my wireless headphones and phone and started listening to Buttercup by Jack Stauber
