Fitz has problems with his brother, Alvar. Ye, we're all aware. It started out as Fitz looking up to Alvar, then becoming very keen on being like him, then over powering him, Alvar gets annoyed of his parents always pampering the almighty Wonderbra and gets mad that nobody appreciates him or properly cares for him anymore. That results in him secretly joining the Neverseen and gaining the title of traitorous brother/Cracker.
When Alvar came back to Everglen. Ok. Fitz hates him. Ok, fine. Hate Alvar. Do I care? NO. BUT BUT BUT BUT! Why get mad at Sophie? Why? You say that its because he thinks Sophie is on team, "lets give Alvar a second chance." Okay. Lets say she is, but does that give him an excuse to scream at her and make her mad? No, it does not. At all. Nothing, nothing, nothing gives him the right to scream at her. Nothing. Ever. Period. If he loved her, then he wouldn't care. He wouldn't care about what she thought. He loves her and that's, that. But did he treat her like he loves her. Loves her more than anything like he says. No, no he does not. True love doesn't work like that.
