It was the man from earlier.

"Chula, what are you doing here?"

"Look-"

"Hold on; I'm not trying to be rude. I'm genuinely curious as to what you are doing here." he said.

"I'm training. When we go to war against the Russians and Mexicans, I am going to be at the front. No matter what."

"Knowing your reputation of El Fénix, I wanna say it's an honour to be working with someone like you. I also wanted to apologise for earlier; it was disrespectful and rude. So, I'm sorry." he replied, whispering the part about El Fénix.

"Thank you. I appreciate it."

Then I did something I wouldn't regret.

I decked him on the nose.

"OW!! What was that for?!" He said, clutching his bleeding nose which wasn't broken, luckily.

"For earlier. See ya, chulo." I said as I walked away, not before winking at him.

I decided to work out elsewhere, then grabbed my things and headed for my room.

I stepped into it and discarded of my clothes as I headed for the shower. The water freshener me up and the room filled with the sweet scent of honey and vanilla.

I stepped out of the shower and dried myself off, gripping the towel close to my body as I went in search for clothes.

I found a black oversized t-shirt and and paired it with some white sweats.

As I pulled on the sweats, not before putting on some lotion, someone knocked on my door.

"Coming." I said, as I walked over, my necklace in hand.

I opened the door to reveal Lorenzo.

"Come with me, we have news." He said, grabbing my hand and pulling me along.

"Wait!! Help me put this on please."
I handed him the necklace and he took it, going behind me to put it on.

I tried not to shiver at his touch; it felt like he was being... gentle. Just for me.

He placed a kiss on the back of my neck and then led me again, his hand intertwined with mine.

The doors to the dining room opened with a push and Papa stood at the head of the table, ready to address the crowd with either dreadful or uplifting news.

"Mozorov and Hernandez were spotted in Italy around fifty minutes ago. Either they're planning, or they're ready. But that's besides the point. We need to train and train hard. We need to stock up on equipment and weapons and ensure the security around this household is secure and strict. It hasn't even been a week since my daughter was kidnapped and I won't let it happen again to any of you. En unidad, estamos. Si?"
[translation: In unity, we stand. Yes?]

"Si Capo." we all said.

"There's a war coming, and we're not losing."

Not this time.

It was around 3am and I found myself in the training room, with no light or guidance to help me.

My mind wouldn't rest, my thoughts racing faster than ever.

The room was being filled with the noises I was making. Grunts and force, my fists and feet demolishing the bag.

I imagined the bag as Mozorov, my hands assaulting his face. His smug face and non-existent heart.

I refrained from going any further. I needed air.

I went back to my room and headed straight for the balcony.

The cool wind caused me to shiver but it was still refreshing to me.

The sky was clear and dark. It was beautiful.

A soft knock interrupted my thoughts and I turned to see Lorenzo standing there.

"Mi amor, what are you doing up? It's 3AM." He said coming towards me, his thumb caressing my cheek.

"Couldn't sleep." I shrugged. I grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug, resting his chin on my head.

"Somethings on your mind; Do you want to talk about it?"

I shook my head and kissed him on the cheek. He picked me up bridal style, causing me to let out a laugh.

Enzo dropped me on the bed and I whined.

"I have to shower, I was working out."

"Shower in the morning. Now, let's get some sleep." He replied, placing the blanket over me and getting undressed.

I felt the bed dip as he sunk into the mattress, kissing my neck softly till my eyes gave in and I fell asleep slowly but surely.
