I don't want to pick a fight I know I can't win. Well besides physical fights. So I sigh and hand out my credit card to her. She squeals in delight and places a kiss on my cheek before skipping out of the room.

"What a handful," Kade comments as he comes to stand next to me.

"I know," I groan in annoyance.

"Tell me why you're with her again? I mean there is plenty of fish in the sea," He says as he gestures his hand around the room. "Well besides me, I'm flattered and all but I'm kind of not really into guys you know?"

I lightly punch his arm. "Shut up," I say and walk away from him.

Kade refuses to go up against Prim, so that leaves Nash to go next. This is the part I've been dreading about coming to help her train. He's always up in her business. I know he likes her, that much is obvious. But Prim's oblivious to these types of stuff. All she's concentrating on is her training.

Obviously Nash takes the most out of his match with her. Giving her pointers and being all touchy. But, I'm not one to stop him. He's free to see whoever he wants.

Nash knocks Prim down on the floor. "You're getting better at this," He compliments her and helps her up. That's better than the time he carried her out of the ring.

"Break?" Jed asks to which Prim shakes her head.

"No, I need as much practice as I can get. I'm nearly half as good as you guys. Stop holding back," She pleads to us.

"Okay, Heath you're up," Kade says.

I hop in the ring with her. I can tell she's afraid to go up against me. Well, she doesn't because there's no way in hell that I'm going to actually hurt her.

"So there's a couple of matches tonight

"So there's a couple of matches tonight. Kade, Nash, and I are going up in the ring," Jed says as we break for a moment.

"You're fighting? I've never seen you actually go in the ring and you know fight someone," I reply back.

"Yeah, well this is a great sponsorship for the fundraiser. People will see how competitive each fighter is to win. They bet money and boom, we donate them," He says simply.

"Okay, I'll for sure come to watch then. I just don't want to watch you get beaten up. Not that you will because you're going to win against him right?"

"Yep, I'll give him the blackest eye I can muster up for you," Jed says and we both laugh. "So, are you gonna invite May to watch you?" He asks me after we both dial down from our fit of laughter.

"No. Absolutely not. She'll pass out before I even get the chance to throw my first punch," I reply.

"I can pick you up if you want?" Nash steps in. I turn to face him. I think being on a car ride with him would be fun right? Things have gotten a lot better between us and there's no more awkward tension.

"Sure, just text me when and I'll let May know," I reply with a thankful smile. Nash just nods his head and heads back to where Kade is practicing his punches.

"So, you and Nash huh?" Jed asks breaking the silence that followed. I avert my gaze from the two boys and turn to face my best friend and give him a confused look.

"What are you talking about? Nash and I are just friends. He just asked me if I wanted a ride, it's not like you don't do the same thing," I reason with him. Jed holds his hands out in mock surrender.

"Okay, whatever you say Primmie," He says and stalks off. I watch as he makes his way towards Kade and Nash. Where's Heath? Shouldn't he be practicing as well for his match tonight? Or maybe he's probably not fighting. I look around for a guy with those piercing green eyes.

He sits by himself on the bench, observing the other fighters. Interesting. I make my way over to him and plop down next to him. I watch as his jaw clenches for a bit. He really likes to do that, I wonder why? "Aren't you going to train?" I ask.

He doesn't face me when he answers. "I'm not fighting tonight," Was his simple response. Okay then.

"Do you think I have a chance at winning?" I ask another question, trying to break the awkward tension in the air.

This time he turns to face me when he answers. "Believe it or not I actually do," He goes silent for a moment then sucks in a deep breath. "I know I can't talk you out of doing this because you're so stubborn. But I'm proud of you. There's no denying that you'll get hurt, but I'll try to be there for you without losing my temper so much," He says as his eyes bore right into mine.

What do I say? This is actually the first time he's said something nice, well it's not directed towards me but it's still something nice. "Thank you," I reply with a smile. "And I promise that I'll make you proud," I add.
