"Dearest Father, dearest Sister. I pray for endless years of peace with you two. And if possible, maybe even with Mother."

"These look ugly," Athanasia couldn't help but comment

"These look ugly," Athanasia couldn't help but comment. She knelt beside her brother. Her diamonds focused on the bush of faded roses.

Arius agrees with a nod, a finger gently touching the roses. "The color is fading to a hideous white... Why is it becoming like that?" He questions.

The twins were outfits based on Alice in Wonderland. Athanasia had the usual blue dress with a white apron. Arius had a blue dress shirt, having a blue vest over it. Both have black ribbons as accessories, a clock ornament on their collar.

Arius had a basket in his hands, currently empty. The twins were planning on gifting Claude roses. But with how wilted the roses look, they thought otherwise.

"Ha~..." Athanasia sighs. She feels dejected while burying her head into her arms. "What are we going to do now?" She wonders with a pout.

Arius shrugs, frowning as well. "We really can't do anything. It's unfortunate since it's the season for roses," he comments, resting his chin on his palm.

They two shared glances, diamonds reflecting rubellites. A minute later, Athanasia stands with a slight wobble. She pats her dress, pulling Arius to his feet as well.

"Let's just go back," Athanasia asserts, already making her way to the Garnet Palace. "Since roses are out of the list, what should we get Dad?"

Arius hides his hands in his pocket, whistling. "I don't know~," he responds, singing, "Roses are Papa's favorite flowers. I can't think of anything else."

At this, the twins sigh in unison.

They amble alongside each other, peaceful as gales waft through their golden locks. Birds chirp above them, serenity in the air as hush encase the twins.

Just as the two enter the central garden, someone caught Athanasia's jeweled eye. The white mop of hair was rather eye-catching in the Imperial Palace, after all.
