"Anong nangyari?!"

Tanong naman ni Ethiliah nang hingal akong pumasok ng office niya. Tinakbo ko kaagad ang daan papunta dito para ilabas ang sama ng loob ko. I broke down and cried there. Duguan pa ang damit ko. Hindi pa naman ako naka scrubs.

"Shush, calm down." She said and patted my back and caressed my hair after. Mas lalo pa akong naiyak dahil sa comfort na bigay niya.

"Kasi ano.. 'yong pa-"

"Tahan muna, kwento mo kung okay ka na." She said and pulled me into a hug. "So, what happened?" Tanong niya nung kumalma na ako.

"Nasa emergency siya ngayon."

Napatayo naman si Ethiliah dahil sa gulat. "Shit! Si Sev papunta roon, sana hindi sila magkasalubong! Baka masuntok niya pa!" Natawa naman ako sa sinabi niya. Akala ko naman ay magagalit siya. Umupo naman siya para makinig ulit.

"Then 'yong pasyente.. Three years old pa lang." I started. She nodded listening to every detail I was saying.

"Funny part is.. Alvarez 'yong bata. At kamukha niya pa."

I chuckled bitterly. She gasped. "Baka 'yon yung bata sa States! Hala!" She dramatically said. I nodded agreeing to what she said. Baka nga, three years old ang bata. Baby lang din ang nakita ko three years ago. Five months older lang si Khari sa kaniya. Nakita ko sa chart.

"Mga marites! May chika ako!" Gulat naman kaming napaupo ng maayos at lumingon kay Sev na pumasok ng biglaan sa office ni Ethiliah.

"Kumatok ka naman! May anak ka pa 'di mo pa rin alam paano kumatok!"

Natawa naman ako sa sinabi kay Ethiliah at nag bayangan pa sila bago umupo si Sev sa sofa. "So, ganito nga girl, sa emerge-"

"Anong meron bakit mo 'ko tinawag dito Sev?"

Napalingon naman kaming tatlo kay Amie na sumilip sa pintuan. "Halika! May kwento ako!" Hinila naman ni Sev si Amie paupo at nagkuwento ulit.

"Tapos nakita ko si kupal ka-"

"Alam namin 'yan, late ka na."

Nagkatinginan naman kaming tatlo nang sabay sabay naming sabihin 'yon. Nag apir naman kaming tatlo. "Paano niyo alam?!" Sabi ni Sev at nagmamaktol na. Her arms were crossed in her chest and she was pouting.

"Siyempre.. ako 'yong nag iisang doctor na andoon noong oras na iyon." I said and smiled bitterly. Sev gasped at natawa naman sila Amie. "How did you know though, Amie?" I asked and faced her.

"Nurse ako dito, 'di ba? Baka nakalimutan mo, reminder lang."

She proudly said and hit her chest pa. I just laughed, papanong 'di ko siya nakita roon? Amie took over and talked about it. It was awkward but we laughed because of Sev, loko talaga. After work, I fetched Khari from school at tulog nanaman siya pauwi, pagod.

"I hated the skies. I hated it whenever the sun sets. At first, I did not know why I chose aviation. My dreams felt incomplete."

I smiled while wiping my tears, it was his turn to say his vows. He was reading his vows in a paper.

"But the day I was chosen to mentor the best captain's daughter, I started to love it because I was with you. I felt safe and light when I was flying with you. I started to love the sun set, I started to love the skies that I face every single day."

He smiled at me and mouthed 'stop crying'. I just smiled back, I was touched by his words, and then he continued.

"And then I found out... that you were also the dream. That dream that completed me. That motivated me. I started to love you every day and hope that you would reciprocate it."
