21. The New Kid

Rosé ran down the stairs like a lunatic, scaring the hell out of her mother who was preparing breakfast for them:

- Dear Jesus! What's the hurry? - Cris asked while flipping pancakes

- Jennie's coming! - she sat down, tapping her foot loudly on the floor - It's her first day!

- Oh right, she got in didn't she? - she smiled upon seeing her daughter so excited

- Yeah - she proudly said

- And hey - her mother placed the pancakes on a plate and smirked - Is she your girlfriend?

- Mom! - Chaeyoung blushed immensely and threw a napkin at her - It's n-none of your b-business

Rosé grabbed the plate in front of her and separated 3 pancakes for her and 4 for her mother:

- You should eat more

- Mom, you have two jobs, you're the one who should eat more

Her mother sat down in front of her and both started eating, however the blonde one was devouring her food:

- I'm never gonna stop saying how proud you make me feel - the blonde looked at her with chubby cheeks full of food

- For eating like an animal?

- No silly - she chuckled- Although that's also scary.. but because of who you are and because of your strength to follow your dreams despite being so hard

Chaeyoung smiled, thinking about how lucky she was for having a mother like hers:

- Thank you so much - she eyed her mom, not being able to contain her emotions. A single tear ran down her cheek and Cris pouted - You have to understand that I would not be able to do this without you.. you are one of my biggest supporters

Her mother was an emotional wreck just like her daughter, both of them remembering everything they've went through and everything they did (and still do) just to be together and to have a safe space, where they can rely on and find support after having different wars out there. Cris extended her hand and squeezed her daughter's hand:

- Just promise that you won't forget about me when you get famous! - they chuckled and wiped their tears

- What a blasphemy! How could I forget the one who brought to life?

Before anyone else could say anything, three soft knocks were heard and Chaeyoung froze in her seat:

- Uh.. what are you waiting for? - her mother chuckled and the blonde got up quickly

- Y-yeah!

Rosé took anxious steps toward the door and opened it, gulping upon seeing how breathtaking her girlfriend looked:

- Hi - Jennie shyly said

- Hi - both girls shared glances and looked to the ground, still not sure how a relationship worked

They had become girlfriends on Friday when Chaeyoung's class ended and immediately made out on the nearest bathroom. Beaming with joy and burning with desire, the teenagers's lips devoured each other with the assurance that they now belonged to each other. However, after they parted ways at night, Jennie had an occupied weekend with work because it was karaoke nights (yes plural, Mino's dad knows it's one of the things that gives the bar more money), so the girls hadn't had time to talk to each other.
