Chapter 38: A Date with an Angel

Start from the beginning

They then stepped down into the ink, emerging in the hallway, Wally quickly stepped out of the ink, wiping it off of them.

It wasn't that bad.

We're unsure what ink counts as the 'tainted' ink and normal ink, and I don't want to risk becoming whatever Susie became.

. . Understandable.

"So, we now know you can take three people with you, let's head to the vault, we don't necessarily need to regroup." Henry said, still standing in the ink.

"You're right, but we'll need to notify the others somehow, so they won't get worried." Linda replied.

Cutout. Wally mentally said as he walked over to the nearby cutout, Ink knows when one of them breaks, right?

I think so.

Then we break it, where's Henry's axe?

Dunno. Buddy replied.

"If Ink knows when a cutout breaks, we could probably break one here, and one near the vault so he knows." Buddy said when Wally walks back to the other two.

"It's an idea." Henry said as he glanced at the walls and ceiling, "You guys feel that?"

"Feel what?" Linda asks, Wally perks up their ears and looked around, focusing his senses, he notices the ceiling shaking slightly, same with the walls and floor.

"It's shaking." Buddy replied, seeing it as well.

"Guess we don't have anywhere near an hour to do this." Henry said as he grabbed the Alice and Boris clones by their arms, stepping into the ink, traveling to the vault, in hopes of finding The End.

Pov: Third Person, Sammy Lawrence

He walked down the hallway, freezing at the sight of all the corpses of Boris and the Butcher Gang.

They didn't deserve this, he thought, none of them did.

"Look around. It took so many of them to make me so beautiful. Anything less than perfect was left behind. ."
"I had to do it. She made me."

Which 'she'? The angel or Susie? Sammy thought bitterly as he walked across the planks, pausing to walk over to a tape which he hesitantly played.

"Who would have thought?" Susie, the one before she went mad started to talk, Sammy's heart lurched at hearing her voice as old memories resurfaced.

"Me having lunch with Joey Drew!" The ink-man scowled at her mentioning his name.

"Apparently times are tougher than I thought. For a moment I thought I'd be left with the check."
"But I gotta say, he wasn't at all what I expected. Quite the charmer."
"He even called me Alice. . ."
"I liked it."

Sammy immediately threw the tape on the ground and stomped on it, breaking it into pieces, he took a deep breath, then he heard the twisted angel laughing on the invisible speakers.

He took another deep breath and continued walking down the boards, entering the door at the end of the hallway.

"Susie- err Alice?" He said hesitantly, unsure if she's acting, or if she's actually the twisted angel.

He stopped walking as the lights turned on, he was in an empty room, a barrel in the corner next to a window with its wooden blinds down and covering it, there's three crates and a chair in the corner to his left.
