Chapter 26

Barb ran threw the forest as fast as she could. She didn't want anyone around her now. She just wanted to be left alone. She knew Sparky was chasing after her, and she didn't like it. Barb wanted to be left alone. Her makeup was falling from face as the tears fell

Barb didn't even know where she was going, and she didn't care either. She just wanted her dad

Thrash

Thrash always managed to cheer Barb up no matter what situation they were in. If Barb was crying, he would sing. If Barb was mad, he would sing. If she was scared, he would sing. Thrash always sang to her

He was the only person Barb wanted right now. She didn't want anyone else. Barb tripped on a vine which made her fall. Something fell out of Barbs hair and she immediately looked at it

It was a blade she used to use to cut herself when she was a teenager. She always had nightmares and the pain helped her. Maybe it could help with this too

Barb grabbed the blade and stared at it. She hadn't used this since she was either 14 or 15. Barb had gotten the proper help, but this... this was different. She had been clean for so long, but a trigger broke inside of her

Barb took a deep breath and placed the blade on her arm. She could already feel the blade piercing it's way into her skin. Barb the proceeded to drag the blade at an intense speed that it stung. There was blood slowly coming out of her arm

She did that a few more time, before she was satisfied. Barb picked up her arms in pain. Her being clean was over. She was always told to breathe and count to ten if she ever thought about it, but she wasn't thinking. She was blind, she didn't know what she was doing

Barb figured if she wasn't around, then Poppy wouldn't have to worry, and they wouldn't have to argue like that again

Barb blinked. When her eyes opened, the blade was close on her wrist, piercing its way in, tiny drops of blood were coming out

Sparky came out of the bushes and saw the blade on Barbs wrist. Her eyes widened

"Uh Barb?" Sparky called

Barbs eyes widened and looked around

"O-oh Sparks! I- I didn't see you there." Barb said

"What are you doing?.." Sparky asked

Barb looked at the blade on her wrist and immediately put it back in her hair

"N-nothing!" Barb said

"Barb.. what did you put in your hair?" Sparky asked

Barb knew Sparky saw her

"Nothing.." Barb said

"Barb... please show me." Sparky said

There was no getting out of this. Barb even knew that. She sighed and took the blade out of her hair

"This..." Barb said

Sparky saw the blood coming out of Barbs arms

"I-... Barb what did you do!!?" Sparky asked

"I- I... I just- I don't know.." Barb said

"Um... here let's get that cut cleaned up Barb." Sparky said

"There's a lot.." Barb said

"It's ok, as long as the cut gets clean." Sparky said

"I was really close.." Barb said

"Too what?" Sparky asked

"Well you know, slashing my wrist..." Barb said
