2. Guests only come when the best food is being made

[name] was out taking a walk in the cold and chilly morning, a few plastic grocery bags hanging from her hands.

You thought of dropping by the yorozuya since you had promised Gintoki to make them food sometime, deciding today was the day owing to your good spirits.

Having a day off from Shinsengumi today, you even decided to keep a low profile at your own clinic since it was the weekend and you wanted to let off some steam. As you were walking by, you saw a group of temple school students all clustered together.

"What is this ugly thing? A bird?

"Let's feed it some grass!"

"Isn't this the neo armstrong cyclone jet armstrong canon?"

"No! It's the Hadron cannon from Gode Ceass!"

Your gaze followed the chatter of the young kids, all surrounded near an enormous white figure with googly eyes and a huge protruding beak.

"Elizabeth-san!", you beamed and rushed up to it.

"[name]-san, hello. It's nice to see you.", she held up a sign which she also used to lightly hit the kids around her.

"Wah, it's hitting us! Let's run!"

"Is Katsura not with you? It's rare to see the two of you apart.", you gave her a warm smile.

"He's in jail."

'Oh, yes. I forgot. But he always has such a way about them, it's like his second home. He will be out in no time, I'm sure.", Elizabeth held up a sign which said that she agreed with you and that she had been starving for days.

"Then please come along, I was already going to cook them something at the yorozuya. You're very welcome to join me."

Elizabeth then joined you and helped you carry some of your bags.

The bell to the yorozuya rang but both Gintoki and Kagura were not roused from their seats. Gintoki was reading Kukutsu Jaisen and was on a very good part where Negumi's secret shadow technique was being revealed and Kagura was pretending to be asleep on the couch to evade housework.

*ring ring*

"..."

*ring ring*

"Huh, so Negumi was this strong?" He should've just beat up Zukuna!"

*ring ring*

"WHY THE HELL WON'T THE BOTH OF YOU GET THE DOOR!?", Shinpachi yelled as he stomped from over the kitchen since he was washing the dishes.

"It's the people for the cable bill Shinpachi, just lie low.", Gintoki said calmly, not taking his eyes off the manga and digging his finger up his nose.

"Shinpachi, I'm asleep-aru.", Kagura replied with her eyes closed shut.

"Atleast try to come up with a good lie, Kagura-chan...", he sighed and opened the sliding doors and was greeted with a pleasant [name].

"[name]-san! It's so nice to see you again!", the boy greeted cheerfully.

"[name]'s here?", the older man looked up.

"Shinpachi, it's nice to see you again too. May I come in?"

"Yes please! Sorry Kagura-chan is sleeping and Gin-san is being lazy and disgusting.", he said ashamed but you were pretty used to all of this.

"It's fine, I thought I'd come over and make some food since I had too many ingredients I wanted to share. Also I brought someone, if you don't mind.", you motioned for Elizabeth to come in.
