CHAPTER 8

CHAPTER 8: UCHIHA MASSACRE AND MADARA

KASUMI POV

For the past week, me and itachi hadn't talked or even seen each other, He was busy being a double agent and doing whatever the elders make him do... I just hope this matter would be solved soon...

While me on the other hand, I couldn't just ignore my mission, as the third hokage says it will buy me time from danzo and it also helps me learn about the movements of the uchiha's

As soon as I finished reporting in to the hokage, I took my leave and immediately laid on my soft and warm bed that awaited me

All I need for tonight is...rest

I woke up to my not usual morning, No beautiful sunrays hitting my face and no birds standing on my window frame to chirp me to consciousness

It's rather dark... 

After getting myself ready I walked outside, I could hear whisperings from villagers as I pass by although I could not hear it well but once you hear it for too many times you'll notice something their common that their conversation shared

'uchiha'

I thought that it was because the matter has finally been resolved but oh how wrong I was...

"Kasumi!" I could hear ruki's voice shout my name

"Ah! riku what's the matter, you look like you're in a rush" I said

"You haven't heard?" She asked

"haven't heard what?" I asked

"The uchiha clan is gone... they're dead! and sasuke uchiha is the only living survivor, he's in the hospital" I looked at her with wide eyes, I didn't hesitate to make a run for it I wanted to check on sasuke

The moment I arrived at the hospital I asked the receptionist where sasuke uchiha was and they told me the room number and there it was I saw him sleeping in the hospital bed

Itachi... what did you do?

I looked at sasuke to see that he was waking up, He gasped as he woke up but the moment he saw me he hugged me tight

"n-nee-chan!" He cried

"Did you hear? the uchiha clan has been massacred"

"yeah, poor boy is the only living survivor" we heard nurses murmur

But before I could even react Sasuke rushed out of bed without even wearing his shoes and ran towards the Uchiha compound, the whole place was bloody a mess I followed sasuke wherever he went, He ran through the compound and eventually arriving at his home

I noticed white markings on the floor which represented the bodies of Mikoto and fugaku

"W-what the hell..." I muttered noticing that Sasuke was already sobbing on the ground crying

"Shh, Sasuke shh, I'm here you will be alright I'm here" I said while hugging him

"N-nee chan... I-it was him... He killed the clan" Sasuke said through sobs

"Sasuke... Look at me" I said, He looked at me and I saw his pained expression those puffy eyes that had been crying so much tears

"I have no idea about the whole truth of this clan and itachi didn't want me to get involved in this but remember that no matter what happens... Never ever let the path of revenge blind you, you have people to help you even me I will never leave your side sasuke..." I said pulling his head on my chest and letting him release all his emotions

Later that day, I took sasuke back to the hospital. He needed to finish his check-up's before he could be allowed to go home... new home, He'll be receiving his keys when all is arranged

But since there was still time before sasuke gets fully discharged I needed to see someone...

I walked through the forest where I assumed he must be waiting

"Oh? well what a surprise" He said from behind me casually sitting on top of a rock

"The uchiha massacre" I started glaring at him

"why do you instantly blame me? but then again... It is true..." he said chuckling in his deep voice

"Join me." He said extending his hand to me but it sounded more like he was trying to intimidate me

"No." I answered sternly

"well I suppose it doesn't hurt to wait for more years and you shall join me...sister" He said I glared at the man who had activated his sharingan

"I am not your sister" I growled before turning away 

"You may be in denial now but... you can never run away from the truth, You are the incarnation of Kasumi Uchiha, and no it is not a coincidence that you're name is also kasumi... It was planned" He said before he left

I turned away with anger running in my veins, but the moment I saw sasuke sleeping in the hospital made me smile

looks like he waited for me

I gently picked him up and started to walk to my house direction, I put him inside my room and laid him on bed

looks like I'm taking the couch tonight

I sighed before I gently closed the door surprised to see kakashi casually sitting on the couch reading his cursed book

"Let me guess sasuke is here?" He asked I nodded in response before sitting beside him

I placed my head on kakashi's shoulder making him put his book down and wrap one arm around my shoulder

"Nii-san I-"

"Are you troubled?" he asked cutting me off

"Huh?" I asked

"You never call me nii-san unless you're troubled" He said

"well... Kind of" I answered

There was only silence between us before I decided to break it with a question

"Nii-san before I was born, was there a reason why you named me kasumi?" I asked, He looked quite shocked before he gave me a faint smile

"I didn't really expect you to ask me that question"

"yeah... it was a friend..." he said

"what about him?" I asked

"when you were born, My teammates even my sensei visited you giving out presents, when I told them you didn't have a name yet a team mate of mine suggested to name you kasumi he said it was out of the scroll he found, and even until now I still have no idea what scroll he was talking about" kakashi chuckled

"What was his name?"

"Obito Uchiha"

And so far the only thing I know is that I was born a week before my father's death then my brother's teammates showed up giving me the name mainly from obito uchiha... I personally don't believe madara is still alive but if orochimaru is seeking immortality it should be possible right? Or not...

I was snapped out of my thoughts when sasuke tugged my clothes

"well here we are, your new home" I said before leading him inside

"Nee-chan, I want to train" He said in his monotone voice, ever since that incident happened sasuke had been so monotone and he had been pushing people away from his life but I'm glad he didn't do that to me...

"very well... You can go, I'll bring you snacks later" I smiled at him as I watched him leave but the moment he left I also left going to the forest again

"Madara" I called out sternly

"yes sister?" He said

"please do not call me sister" I said trying to act calm

"What is that you need then?" He asked

"I want to see itachi? you can do that, can you?"
