Every Pro Has Its Own Sets of Cons

[Nate's Pov]
Checking out the sky at 3:45 am, I stood at a pier on the port where all the newcomers, shipments and stuff come through.
The cold air struck my skin, the breeze was pleasant as I sat there tossing stones off into the distance.
I was bored waiting for my friend to update me on the status of my new target. Bzzt Bzzt
My phone suddenly started buzzing as his user popped up on my screen. Timeskipdio423 was sending me a location.
It was just a bit further down the port near some boats, there stood a tall black figure.
Stepping out from under the cargo crate into the moonlight was my friend who's online handle was Timeskipdio423.
His skin was charred beyond repair with lines of blue energy pulsing through the cracks, leading into his eyes that were purely black outside his eerily blue iris's. At the center were black pupils.
The more the moonlight hit his charred skin you could see a blue smoke ascend from the lines evaporating continuously. The frost colored hair swayed in the wind as he had a wicked grin.
He wore a jacket that had fur on the edges, with a dark black color to it. His choice of bottoms were black cargo shorts which had confused me but not to much. If he wants to wear shorts with a jacket or coat let him...I was more interested in his update.
"Yo Shawn been a while since we met face to face!" Closing the distance I put my hand on his shoulder.
"It has been some time! But Kono was an amazing binge and immediately after I picked up the light novel!"
"I know right!! Tazuma is absolutely hilarious...but we can chat all about that later."
"You want to know about the new target now?"
Stepping back cracking my neck with an expression of excitement, I looked into his eyes.
"Well what I can gather from hijacking the server and using your image for reference...his name is Mizuki, 19, hybrid species and is going to be my underclassmen."
Noticing the glow of his eyes get brighter and his smile grow in creepiness. It sent even a slight shiver down my spine.
"I already have an ordeal to test the quality of the new target!"
"Well be careful not to break him so soon and get Dorothy up to date on this ordeal"
I said as we tapped our phones together as we exchanged files. I now had access to his ordeal layout so we could both equally enjoy the show.
It also had a request for organs that he required for his latest puppet design, which entailed S+ grade parts from extraordinarily powerful beasts.
This didn't bother me so much as I knew just who to see, he would most likely have alot of those parts.
After that I took off back to the pier for the night to just relax for now. Still I couldn't help but be curious about how his ordeal will turn out.
He will soon know that for every pro there is a con, I couldn't help but snicker as I launched some partially frosted rocks into the distance.

[Narrator]
Nate and Shawn had made plans for Mizuki who was right now sleeping soundly thinking about the new friends he had made.
These were just but a few stories that are happening around the Gardens; but those are stories for another time.
For now let us return to the main agenda.

[??? Pov]
"H-help me.." shoveling my way through alley ways in a frantic rush. I reached my tiny arms out for a wall to blend into, it was extremely cold. Soon the sun should be rising and then maybe I could find someplace to rest...
That's if I could even hold out that long, while organizing my thoughts for the little breathing time I had a loud thud came from the direction I came. I knew that wasn't going to end well if I rested any longer so I took off at full speed as I heard multiple footsteps in pursuit of me.
"HEY GET THE HELL BACK HERE!!!"
Followed by that yell were the loud sounds of Hellhounds that had been tracking me since I had escaped the facility.
I knew if I went back now they would brutally torture me and run double the experiments on my body.
Soon enough I hit a main road that led to the elevation zones, if I reach the surface while it's daytime I should be safe for a little bit.
"IF YOU KEEP THIS SHIT UP YOU WILL GO INTO THE HOLE ONCE WE GET YOU!!!!"
Know exactly what kind of place the hole is, I immediately felt chills but that fear of going back pushed me forward as I rushed to closed the door to the elevator.
As it was closing one of the hellhounds stuck their head through the door. The thought of being captured terrified me as I cried out in terror, sending a wave of energy to pushing the hound back. Soon enough I found myself wandering around what I presume to be the first level.. as I reached a corner I lost feeling in my body, it had been a few days since I had an actual meal.
As I reached a side street I collapsed in front of a bar.

[Calyn's Pov]
I was bored so a trip to the store seemed like an idea to just move around honestly. So I did just that it was feint but the sun had started to rise as I was exiting a store that was on the main street. Some nice little snacks to keep me filled up while I work.
Soon enough I remembered that the dorm leaders would be gathering at her dorm for this weeks gaming session, the theme was tabletop games.
I soon started down my street again before long I realized there was a collapsed child on the ground...WAIT SHE NEEDS HELP!!
After finally processing that she was in actual trouble I ran to check her condition. Her tiny frame was covered in cuts and bruises, her clothes were in tatters, and her frazzled dark blue hair stuck to her light blue skin. She had scales in certain spots...could she be dragon kin? Hybrid? Or some kind of scale based creature.
That doesn't matter right now I should take her back to the dorm and treat her immediately! Poor child...what in the world happened to you..

[Mizuki's Pov]
I was having a peaceful dream and enjoying the silence of the morning.
That was of course short lived as my door slammed open the sound like gunshots to my sleepy ears.
"Mizuki!!!!!"
"Whaaat you can bother me when I am u-" as I turned to face her I stopped speaking. Yes I could see that expression of distress and concern.
I immediately was filled with questions about what could bring about this expression on Calyn. "What happened?"
She signaled me to come with her down to the lobby.
I told her I would be down in a bit to which she just nodded and quietly left the room. From what I could gather it was unusual behavior...
Is it that time for her or something, guess I will find out once I get down there.
I got up to take my shower, dress and gather up my stuff for the day.

I finally got down to the lobby "so what happened no-"
There I saw it a child who was clearly of a dragon type race, she looked to be no older than 9 years old. There she was wrapped in bandages, she looked to be basically punching deaths door.
"What the hell happened here..."
I felt bad for her, a lot of confusion swelled my mind as I continued looking at the sight before my eyes.
"F..free...dom." She was mumbling that one word the entire time in her sleep.
"Calyn what are we going to do?"
"For now you will go to school I will watch her today, but tonight I need you to keep an eye on her while I do some digging into the situation!"
She seemed adamant on this plan of action.
"What about the authorities? Shouldn't we hand her over to them."
My suggestion was immediately shut out by her retort.
"From my years on this island they are useless in cases like these because it usually involves some shadow organizations backed by them..hopefully this will end nice and easy."
At this time I couldn't have known my life was about to go through many unexpected changes.
After explaining everything to me she sent me on my way for the day. I wonder if she would be ok.
