Chapter 21

"You know you didn't have to wait for me to tell you to come to me right?" I ask

"I didn't want to bother you" she says and I roll my eyes

"Kara you're not a bother" I say and press my lips against her head once more and her phone rings

Josephines POV

We have been at Alex's for almost 5 hours now and we were eating ice cream watching a movie, well all besides Emery which was weird because she loves ice cream, she hasn't even spoken much since we have been here and it was her idea to come,

Alex and I were laughing at the screen and I noticed Emery just curled up on the side of the couch

"What's wrong?" I ask her

"Nothing" she says and goes into the bathroom

"Is she okay?" Alex ask me

"I think so?" I say and she nods

A few minutes later when Emery still hadn't came back out so I went to check on her, but when I reached the door I heard her crying inside

"Em, open the door" I say and she doesn't respond but unlocks the door and I go inside

"What's wrong?" I ask her again and she climbs in my lap

"I want to go home" she says still crying.

"I want Lena and Kara" she says San I run my fingers through her hair

"Why? I thought you were having fun?" I say

"I just want to go home" she says and I nod and pick her up walking back out to Alex

"Hey, what's going on?" Alex ask and Emery doesn't answer

"She wants to go home" I say ask Alex nods

"Okay, we can call Kara okay?" She says and Emery nods still trying to calm herself down. I don't know why she is so upset about this,

"Kara and Lena are coming okay" Alex says

"Thank you" Emery says quietly

Around 15 minutes later kara and Lena both come into Alex's and walk over to us, as soon as Emery sees them she reaches up for Kara and she picks her up and holds her close to her

"Hey, hey what happened?" Kara ask

"I missed you" she says

"We missed you too but we are here now so time to dry those eyes" Kara says wiping her eyes and Emery calms down and Kara looks over at Alex and I and we just shrug

"Okay well we're going to get her home, Jo you coming with us or want to stay with Alex?" Lena says

"I'll stay with Alex" I say and they nod

"Okay, well we love you both and be good" Kara says and Alex and I both smile and nod as they leave

Karas POV

We just got back to the house and I carried Emery inside since she didn't want down and we all sat on her bed together

"What made you so upset?" I ask and she lays against me

"I just missed you and didn't want to leave you" she says and we nod. She must have a really bad experience with sleepovers

"We're never leaving you okay?" I say

"But everyone leaves" she says quietly

"What do you mean?" Lena ask her

"My mommy left me and now you're my mommy's and you're going to leave me too" she says and starts crying again

"Hey" I coo rocking her back and forth

"We aren't leaving, never" Lena assures her

"Promise?" She ask and Lena smiles

"I promise" she says and Emery nods and yawns

"I think it's passed someone's bedtime" I say and she shakes her head

"You both sleep with me?" She ask and I look up at Lena

"Of course" I say and she smiles as we all get into her bed, we rubbed her back since it helps her fall asleep better

"I told you she would need the big bed" Lena says
