It had been another month since I saw Tom, I couldn't muster the courage to go talk to him again. I got a call from David saying that I had to return to work now, the schedule had been messed up because I was missing my scenes, so of course I had to go. I still asked him time, a week, I told him, I need to go through the script, he agreed.

I was going through the script and my first scene was with Tom. It was our characters hugging and meeting after a long time, just like us. I was in the middle of another scene, practicing my lines, when my phone rang. It was Tom's mom.

"Hey, Sharon. How are you?"

"Hi, honey. I'm doing okay. How are you? Everything okay?"

"Yeah, perfectly fine. I was just in the middle of practicing my lines"

"Oh, I hope I'm not disturbing"

"No, no, of course not, you can call anytime"

"I know, sweetheart, but I'll make it quick, Tom told me how you took care of him, one month ago. Thank you for being there for him when I couldn't"

"Sharon, you don't have to thank me. He's my best friend" I paused and thought, 'Even though I'm in love with him', "Of course I was there for him"

"Where are you now? Still at Chris'?"

"No, no, I am currently at Tom's. Came over yesterday night, do you mind paying this old lady a visit?"

"Old? You look younger than me"

"Alright, alright, jokes aside. When are you going to visit?"

"Well, I'm free right now, I can drop by or you can come by my new home, huh? I'll tell Mick to pick you up, okay?"

"Yeah, that sounds fun. See you in an hour?"

"Yes, alright, bye Sharon. Love you"

"Bye honey. Love you too"

I quickly called Mick and told him to pick Sharon up. Within an hour, she was here. We talked about this and that. I was making her some tea when my doorbell rang. "I got it!" I yelled from the kitchen, she smiled warmly at me and I opened the door. It was Tom. My smile fell as I invited him in.

He looked around the loft and I went back to the kitchen. He followed in and cleared his throat. I didn't turn around. "Can I have a glass of water?" he asked formally. I closed my eyes when I heard his voice for the first time in a month. "Yeah, in the fridge, help yourself" I said filling tea in the teapot.

We made small conversation for a time, when Tom left the kitchen, he left a small note, saying that we had to act normal in front of his mother, cause he didn't tell her and that she'd worry more than she already is. So, I obliged, I tried to be normal, to laugh at his jokes, to re-live the memories of Hawaii, of our past or our childhood.

Sharon was using the restroom, so there was just awkward silence between us, as Tom was about to speak, my phone rang. It was Rob, I picked it as Sharon came out. "I'm sorry, I have to take this"

"Yeah, we better be off as well, right, Tom?" Sharon said as she picked up her purse. Tom nodded and looked at me, "See you at set, Shorty"

"See you" I said walking to the door. Sharon hugged me, like she always did. I thought Tom would hug me as well, but he gave me a single nod and left.

Not that I wanted his hug....

"Hey, Rob" I called him back. "Hey, babycakes. How you doing?"

"I'm doing great, you called?"

"Yeah, my manager would like to talk to you" I furrowed my eyebrows as to why his manager would want to talk to me. "Yeah, put him on"
