The world is defined by good and bad. These two concepts can't exist without each other, they're interdependent. Without evil, there would be no need for the good to come and cleanse anything; and without good, there would be nothing evil could corrupt. Without villains, there would be no need for heroes. Without demons, angels would not exist. Neither would Hell or Heaven.

But while there is a clear list of things people should or shouldn't do, what truly makes a sinner? And what responsibility one needs to take for another's actions? Where do you draw the line when it comes to sins? Can you label a person that doesn't feel guilty or remorseful as a sinner?

If not, wouldn't that imply being a sinner is strongly connected to each and every individual's beliefs regarding sin? That couldn't be true either; otherwise, why would there be angels tasked with weighing the actions of people before deciding whether they've sinned or not?

With every question that crossed her mind, Luna threw another punch, hitting the bag again and again. The goal was to push herself over the limit and make all the muscles in her body numb for today. Archangels couldn't afford to skip daily training, not when evil lurked around every corner. She couldn't rely on divine help or her lance to help her defeat the enemies every time, there were situations in which she could be disarmed or too unstable to use the powers she was blessed with.

Several situations called for a rather physical approach, and Luna did have a mean right hook.

"Someone looks mad today."

A manly voice cuts through the noise of her bandaged fists colliding with the punching bag, forcing her to turn around. Luna took a few steps towards the sidelines and grabbed her towel, wiping the sweat off her forehead and temples.

"I'm not mad, I'm just focused," she corrected him, flashing him a wide grin while she tried to catch her breath. "Are you here to train with me, Gabriel?"

The other Archangel crossed his arms against his chest. "Not exactly. I have a letter for you."

"Is it from a secret admirer?" Luna joked, both of her hands making their way up to tighten her ponytail.

"You'd wish. It's a direct message from Boss. Before I give it to you, I must ask: did you do something to anger Him?" Gabriel squinted playfully, waving a white envelope in her face.

Luna furrowed her eyebrows, her steps coming to a halt right in front of the other angel.

"A message from God? To me?" She reached one of her hands forward, taking the envelope from the assigned messenger. "Nothing seriously bad comes to my mind, no. I've had some trouble with a group of demons last week, but I've been in complete control of the situation the entire time and there have been no collateral victims. Except from a couple of abandoned buildings, but no living person was hurt."

While she explained last week's events to Gabriel, Luna's eyes quickly ran through the contents of the letter she received. It wasn't everyday that God acknowledged the presence of one of his subordinates, let alone directly contact them. To say she was surprised by this was an understatement.

"May I ask?" Gabriel lifted his eyebrows and took a step back, offering her some space to read her correspondence. "I'd say I didn't open it before giving it to you, but I think you already know how serious I am about being a messenger."

"It's not about last week," Luna said, lowering the envelope after she finished reading it. "It's a personally assigned task and I think I might have to train harder from now on. So, how about a friendly spar?"

"Is that so?"

Gabriel nodded once, then walked over to where she placed the bandages, unbuttoning his shirt and taking it off before he started wrapping his hands.

"Personally assigning tasks isn't something He does every day, but I think you already know that," Gabriel pointed out, securing the wraps with a tight knot. "Who's your next target? I'm curious why you'd need more training, I'm quite convinced you're able to take down the devil himself with little effort."

Luna's grin widened upon hearing his words. "Hopefully, you're right about that. I guess it's up to me now to drag Lucifer back to Hell."
