The next day Hermione was waiting on the station

"You okay?" Harry asked her softly

Hermione looked up at him and smiled

"What's wrong?" Harry asked

"Nothings wrong Harry" she told him

He just raised an eyebrow at her

"Hermione"

"Harry"

He just looked at her, she sighed and dropped her head

"I had a falling out with Malfoy...and I'm wondering if I should forgive him or hex him into oblivion" she told him

"Want me to help?" Harry asked her seriously

She shook her head

"I miss him Harry...he's...different" she whispered

"Malfoy?" Harry asked appalled

Hermione rolled her eyes at him

"I'm being serious Harry, he's different from all of you, he actually likes and understands the things that I like, he's easy to talk to and...caring when he's not being prissy" she smiled softly

"Hermione...have you caught feelings for Malfoy?" Harry asked her

"That obvious?" She asked him

Harry pulled her into a hug and laid his chin on the top of her head

"I can't believe you chose the ferret to catch feelings for" he muttered, she giggled into his chest

"Look Hermione...I don't know what to say besides this...he's an alright bloke, and he seems to really be trying to make an effort to change, all I'm saying is to let it take it's course and see where it goes, who knows maybe you two are meant to be together — I really hope you're not — or this thing your feeling may just be an illusion, all I'm saying Mione, don't overthink" he told her

"When did you become so wise?" Hermione asked

"Since I've been dating Luna, she may seem like an odd witch but by gods Hermione is she out of this world" he smiled fondly

Hermione looked at his face

"You really like her don't you?" She asked

"I do, it took me a while to realize but Ginny dating Zabini was probably one of the best things that could have happened to me, Luna is...she's wonderful"

Hermione smiled fondly and hugged him tightly

"I'm happy for you Harry" she whispered

Harry kissed her head and pulled away

"I'll see you on Christmas?" Harry asked her

"I have to stop by the stables to give my presents to the group but then after that I'll stop by the Burrow"

Harry's smile turned brighter when Luna came up to them

"Hi Hermione" she greeted fondly

"Hi Luna"

The train horn whistled and they all got on, Harry and Luna went to go find the Weasley's while Hermione went to find a carriage for them

She found an empty car and took her seat by the window and waited for her friends

She heard the door slide open and looked up to see none other than Draco Malfoy standing there awkwardly

"Mind if I join?" He asked her
