After their little escape to the ranch, Hermione and Draco didn't fight as often, granted she still wanted to kill him when he woke her up at three in the morning for a run but he had stopped trying to hex her feet

They had a project for Potions they were in the library researching Draught of Peace

"Malfoy just help me get the bloody book" Hermione hissed

Draco stayed seated as Hermione glared at him, he raised an eyebrow at her and she huffed with annoyance

"You're so bloody difficult you know what?"

"You remind me every day"

"Good, that way it won't fall out of your over-inflated head"

They continued bickering, not noticing Ginny nor Blaise joined them

"Having another lover's dispute?" Blaise smirked

"Sod off Zabini" Draco ordered

Hermione grabbed a rolled-up paper and threw it at Draco, it hit him on the cheek and Draco glared at her

"Help me." She ordered, Draco groaned with annoyance and walked up to her

"What book do you need?" He asked annoyed, she pointed to the book that was too high for her, even when she went on pointe

"I bet you fifty galleons that they get together before December" Ginny smirked

"You're on" Blaise answered as he watched his best friend hold the book above his head with the smirk on his face

"I hate you" Hermione growled, she jumped up but he and his unnecessary long arms kept the book just out of reach

"You're so bloody short" Draco chuckled

Hermione kicked his shin, he yelped and dropped the book into her waiting hands, he groaned on the floor while Hermione smiled victoriously

"And for that...we'll run six laps"

Hermione groaned, neither noticed Ginny and Blaise wearing identical smirks

"Slimy git and his annoying laps" Hermione muttered as she sat across from them, opening the book, and began taking notes

"Wipe that smirk off your face Weasley, I'm still mad at you that you didn't tell me you were dating Zabini" Hermione said

"No need for the hostile behaviour Granger, I merely withheld certain information" Ginny answered

"Get off the floor Malfoy" Hermione ordered at Draco who was lying dramatically on the floor, he got up and made his way to his spot, limping dramatically for extra effect

Draco grumbled as he sat beside her, still muttering under his breath while he rubbed his shin

"So bloody abusive...no wonder your single" he said

"Says the one who can't get a shag" she snapped back

They continued insulting one another while taking notes, the head students just watched with amusement as their two friends fought over the book, at the moment Hermione was hunched over it while Draco tried to grab it from under her

They looked like little kids fighting over the last cookie, it also seemed that they had forgotten that they were being observed by the two head students

"This looks a lot like flirting" Ginny whispered to Blaise

Hermione stuck her tongue out at him and tried to pull the book away

"They look like children" Blaise replied

"Give me the book" Draco ordered her

"No, you didn't help me nicely when I asked for you to help me grab it, so suck it" she told him

"You're a child, how old are you? Five?" Draco asked

"I'm nineteen thank you very much" she said

Draco stilled his movements

"Nineteen?" Draco asked

"Yes" she confirmed and tried to pull the book away, he didn't let go

"How in Merlins name are you nineteen?" Draco asked her

"I had a time-turner back in third year" she shrugged as if it was the most common thing

"Please do not tell me you had the power to manipulate time to study?" Draco said

"So what if I did?"

"Then you're even more sad and pathetic than I ever thought" he told her

"And yet I'm still top of the class and you're just second" she smirked "so whose sad and pathetic?" She asked innocently

Draco glared at her while she smirked victoriously

One thing that hadn't change between them was their constant bickering, that was one think that would probably never change
