Detention, but make it ✨worse than before✨

Start from the beginning

"Five o'clock, every night this week" she announces and turns back to her blackboard.

After class, I walk down the halls to my next class with Charlotte.

"You should've ratted me out, it was my fault you were talking in the first place." Charlotte says while shaking her head.

"No Char, it's fine. Don't worry about it" I reassure her.

"Way to go Y/l/n!" Fred and George cheer while coming up beside Charlotte and I.

"Seems we've been a good influence on you, eh?" Fred pats my back.

"Anything but!" Charlotte interjects.

"Calm down, it's just detention, can't be that bad" Fred rolls his eyes.

"I'm pretty sure the worst part is having to listen to her talk the whole time" I joke. "Wait, oh no. George I'm going to miss out date! I'm sorry"

"Hey, don't worry about it. I've missed our dates for detention before too, we can always find time" he smiles.

Five o'clock came around and I was on my way to Umbridge's office.

I walked inside and was disgusted by her decorating. The whole office was pink and the walls were covered in plates with cats on them.

"Miss Y/l/n, sit." She says and motions to a chair.

I sigh and plop down on the chair.

"So what's my punishment?" I ask.

She lets out a sigh and then answers, "you will be writing lines"

'Really? Wow, this was going to be easy'

"Ok," I say and begin to reach for my bag.

"Up pup pup! You will be using on of my quills" she tells me.

I shrug and grab the quills she shoves in my face.

"Now I would like you to write 'I must not disturb class'"

"How many times?" I ask.

"Oh, just as long as it takes for the message to sink in" she replies.

Umbridge walks back over to her desk and sits down.

"Wait, you haven't given me any ink" I say.

"Oh, you won't be needing ink" Umbridge replies with a soft giggle.

I found it strange but shrug and begin to write.

I must not disturb class

Suddenly I felt a pain in my right hand. I looked at the parchment and the words were written in red, shiny ink.

I then looked at my hand which had the words cut into my hand. My eyes widened as I registered that what I was writing would be carved into my hand.

Even though the cut on my hand had seemingly healed, it still stung.

I continue to write,

I must not disturb class
I must not disturb class
I must not disturb class

After what seemed like forever, Umbridge ordered me up.

"Show me your hand."

I thrust out my hand and scowl at her.

She inspects my hand and then a evil smiles spreads on her face.

"You have obviously left more of a mark than Mr.Potter did, though that does not excuse you from our next few detentions. Dismissed." She smiles while examining my hand, which had the words 'I must not disturb class' carved in open cuts.
