Chapter 18

"You think?" I ask

"I've never had it before" she says.

"Oh okay.. um I'll be right back" I say

"Okay" she says and I step away to call Alex

"Hey where are you at?"

"Checking out at the pharmacy why?"

"Can you do me a favor and pick up whatever you need for a period?"

"Kara why would you need that?"

"It's not for me"

"Then who's it- ohh, yea I'll get it and be over"

"Thank you, love you"

"Love you too"

I got off the phone with Alex and walked back into Jos room

"Alex is going to bring some things by because I don't know where Lena keeps hers" I say

"Okay" she says quietly

It didn't take Alex long before she was walking into Jos room with a bag,

"Here" she says handing it to me

"Okay.. thank you" I say

"I would stay but I got to get back to my place" she says

"Yea of course, be safe" I tell her and she leaves

"Alright, I got everything you should need, can I come in?" I ask

"Yea" she says and I take the bag into her

After I did my best explaining what I could on not really knowing how it works, I stepped out so she could finish what she was doing and I went back out with Em to finish the movie,

Jo eventually comes out and sits next to me

"All good?" I ask her and she nods. I guess living in the orphanage Ms.Nancy didn't teach the girls about puberty much so all the education she got about her body was only from school,

The three of us had a movie marathon all day until Lena got home, she had messaged me and told me she was picking up dinner from Noonans tonight

"I'm home" she says handing her keys up and placing a bag on the table,

The kids and I walked out to her and I gave her and hug and we all sat down for dinner,

Emery and Jo were talking about something and I Lena and I were talking

"Did you eat today?" I ask her

"Yes" she says, it's not fair, I can never tell if she's lying. And I would have believed her but I know she doesn't eat like she should

"Lena... don't lie to me" I say

"I ate Kara" she says

"What did you eat?" I ask her and she stops talking

"That's what I thought." I sigh

"I'm eating now" she says

"I know, thank you for eating" I smile and she does the same,

After dinner Emery got in the bath and Jo in the shower while Lena and I had a glass of wine,

"Oh, Jo started her monthly for the first time today" I tell her

"How'd that go?" She ask

"Good, I think, Alex brought some things by" I explain

"I had some In my bathroom, and don't you?" She ask

"No I don't get them" I say. Uh oh, wasn't supposed to say that

"What do you mean?" She ask

"Um it's a long story" I say and nervously laugh

"I'll tell you another time" I say when I hear Emery calling my name,

Once the kids were showered and dressed the four of us made some popcorn and we watched a movie before they went too bed

"Goodnight" We say kidding their heads in each of their rooms before going back out

"Want to tell me your story now?" She ask

"No... I mean I do but it's complicated" I say and she nods

"Okay" she says and doesn't bring it up the rest of the night

We watched a movie together and it was time for me to go to bed

"Goodnight Lee" I smile
