Meet the Star: marialea

I want to tell stories that people can relate to and write characters that they can talk about like real human beings. It feels good to be able to create a group of readers that will treat my characters with importance and respect.

A friend of mine posted a blog on the website in 2013 about what she thinks our jobs will be after ten years. From there, I started browsing for stories to read.

Bleeding Love, because this is the first novel that I've been passionate about. I've finished a novel before this but I'm not really as invested in it as I am when I wrote Bleeding Love. Also, this is the story where I first put two years of my reading, learning about writing and embracing the responsibilities of being an author.

When Bleeding Love was at its peak. I used to have conversations with more than 10 readers a day because they really loved the story and they wanted to talk about it and I was able to make many friends.

There are parts of me in each of my stories. Of course I wrote it so I have a part on it but soon, I would like to have the opportunity to tell them what are those specifically because it means a lot to me if they will know.

What I noticed in the community over the years is that there are many writers who ask even the basic things about writing. It is not bad to ask but the problem is, they are asking while writing already. It takes a lot of learning, reading and patience before you are able to write a good novel. So for aspiring writers, take your time. Don't be afraid to research for things that you don't know. Everything is on the internet already, find credible sites to learn things about writing before you actually write. When you start to write first without trying to learn the basics, you will find yourself asking other people the things that you should know already when you start writing. Instead of writing a novel that you can say that is yours, you will end up writing one that is made up of other people's suggestions and ideas.
