Dry leaves
Painted skin
-it took me a while
before I knew
what's going on
Trail of lies
Gold lost gleam
-it took me a while
to see the light
fading from my eyes
Changed heart
Tainted past
-it took me a while
to grasp what's behind
all these tears and sorrow
Sins of goodbyes
Sold all hands
to forces that be

to realize that
