I jolt awake in my Hello Kitty styled bed covered in sweat. I felt like I just had the worst dream in my life. Me playing Fortnite? No way.
I crawl my way out of bed and sit in my cheeto stained gamer chair. I log onto Discord to see 100 messages from Jess. She has been asking where I have been for the last few hours because... no that can't be right. Jess says that our Fortnite practice starts soon. I scramble online to look up "Fortnite Master".
Sure enough, there I am. Anya Gamer, the newest holder of the title of Fortnite Master. I apparently have been carrying that title for a year and a half. I sit and contemplate my situation.
Suddenly, it felt like the energy was drained from my body. I decided that I needed some coffee to drink. I drive down to the coffee shop that I work at.
I walk up to the barista with my medium-length, brown, majestic hair, and my jungbook t-shirt. My flannel sits at my waist, and my ripped jeans are awesome. The barista asks me,
"The usual?"
I give a cunning smirk.
"You know me".
She does not make me pay; that's my best friend. While I admire her work ethic, all of a sudden i hear, "A Venti Venti for Fortnite Master".
Wait, that's not right. My usual is a Vanilla Bean latte. I grab the drink anyways and sit my usual spot near the window. My phone buzzes to see that my other best friend, NidanPlays, is messaging about the newest game, Genshin Lamepact.
I ignore him and go to put the phone back into my pocket, but i accidently drop my phone. I expect to hear my phone break, but it never does. I look up to see a man with a black blazer
Hold on, isn't this-
"Oops, a bit clumsy today are we?"
It's him. It's Jungkook.
"I'm Jungkook, epic Genshin Lamepact player" he says as takes a seat.
This feels all too familiar. I wait until he finally leaves. I follow him until I see that orange hair man again. This time, I don't walk up to them. I stand behind the door and look. Suddenly, I feel a tap on my shoulder.
I turn and I see the orange hair man behind me. I turn back again to see that Jungkook is still there talking on his phone.
"Hasn't anyone told you that staring is rude?" the man says.
Using the ninja skills I have learned while watching movies, I turn to attack the stranger. Somehow though, he dodges my lethal attack and dislocates my arm. The pain screams up my arm as I look around the shop. No one seems willing to help. It's almost like they don't even see this happening.
"Tsk. Don't you get it yet?"
Behind him, that blue door appears again and something is calling to me.
The orange hair man throws me to the ground.
"You're stuck in this reality that I have created, and there's no escape. The only way out is to find something you yourself lack. I'm willing to let you live for now, but just now that this is only the beginning. I have big plans for you and your original reality."
Something that I lack?
"Anyways, good luck escaping hell."
He throws me towards the blue door. I smash through and I feel myself falling forever.
