Live // Chapter 17

Athena went over to her purse and took her phone out. Setting it up on the tripod and opening the camera, she fixed her hair and checked her makeup. Her hair was softly curled and falling down her shoulders like a cascade. Her purple sweater made a nice combination with her brown dark hair.

"Alright, start it, talk a bit about you and Naked, and then say 'we got a special guest' and Niall will show up. Okay?" A lady from Ath's team directed

Athena just nodded and went over to instagram, opening the stories page and clicking the live button. Her hands were shaky, it wasn't hard to notice that, I hated that I couldn't go over and help her, all because management was watching.

She pressed the live button and started to talk

"Hey everyone!" She exclaimed "Holy guacamole, already a thousand people here"

"Alright, Naked is coming out tomorrow, are you excited? Leave questions down below that you want to know about Naked, or about me, or random questions"

"When did you write Naked?" She read the first question

"I wrote it about five years ago, but I changed some stuff about a year ago" She happily answered

She continued watching the comments as they flew by

"What's your favorite colour?" She read the next question

"Hmm, I think that blue. Yeah, blue"

"Have you seen Niall lately?" Was the next question

"I have, we are both great friends, and I actually have a special guest today" She made a brief pause and looked at me "Ireland, come over here!" She clapped

I looked over at managment, they all nodded and I went over to Ath.

"Hello everyone" I said while looking at the camera. I shaked my arm and signaled Ath's waist, hoping that managment would understand that I was asking for permission to put my arm on her waist. Management shook their head 'no', and I awkardly put my arms in my lap.

"Okay Athena, people are asking you if you like 5sos, since you follow all of them in social media, and if you do what's your favorite song and album" I read one question

"I absolutely love 5sos, they are my favorite current band in the world. I don't really have a favorite song since I love all of them" She proudly answered

"Okay, let's move on to another question. Is Naked a sexual song?"

She laughed "No, Naked is a song about breaking all your walls down, and being 'raw' with that special person. Giving that person everything. Such as all of your feelings"

"Beautiful representation from Athena Rivers" I tried imitating a locutor's voice

"Well thank you very much kind sir"

"Next question... Are you dating?" My heart began to beat faster with every second, I looked over to management, who had a look on their face trying to say 'if you say yes i'll kill you'. I could sense Ath tensing beside me, her hands started shaking and she started playing with the ends of her sweater

"Um- No-o, we aren't dating, we are just really good friends" Athena stuttered

"Yeah, I don't think I could date Athena, she's like a sister to me" I quickly agreed and looked over to management. They all raised their thumbs, indicating that we did it right. But when I looked over to Ath her expression seemed hurt, disappointed, and I absolutely hated that I couldn't do anything about it

"Alright, moving on..." I awkwardly whispered

After finishing the live, and both of us staying in the studio to see the song being released, it was finally time to go home.

"Ath, can we talk?" I told her as we both went up to out cars

"What" She plainly answered

"Hey! Don't get mad at me! It's not my fault" I yelled once i realized what had her upset

"I'm not mad!" She yelled back

"Then why did you ignore me the whole time after the live?!"

"Because I'm upset! I'm upset that you told me 'If the whole world was watching, I'd still dance with you' and knowing that that's the problem!"

"What's the problem?!" I asked not understanding what he meant

"That the whole world is watching!" She looked down to her feet "That's the problem"
