Chapter 21: Chaeyoung

"What about it?" Jimin was smart and manipulative, he wasn't going to show off his emotions too soon either.

"She told me about her best friend, Chaeyoung," Taehyung said and that name was enough to make Jimin scared as hell.

"So?" The fellow asked almost whispering.

"She also told me about her boyfriend which so happened to have the same name as you, isn't it funny?" Taehyung said, laughing surprising the lad, who was sweating in fear.

Taehyung stopped and looked at his childhood best friend, his most trusted member of the gang.

"Why did you not tell me about this?" Taehyung asked, feeling a bit hurt, he would have never stopped him from loving another girl but hiding his emotions was unacceptable.

"I can't, you know the rules," Jimin said weakly, according to Kim Gang rules made by Taehyung's grandfather.

The important members of the gang are supposed to marry someone from the mafia region only. And it was obvious Jimin needed to do that too.

Jimin never actually cared about these rules too, thinking he might actually like some girl related to the mafia family but after meeting Chaeyoung, the fear of this rule started to bug him. He knew how much he felt happy with Chaeyoung, she was so pure and kind unlike him.

Like one of the love rules, the opposite attracts. The protagonists here were in the same situations. Chaeyoung was sweet, kind and a very thoughtful girl while Jimin was cruel and part of illegal works, the same goes with Jennie and Taehyung. The world never gives justice to anyone.

"But your first instinct should be to tell me about this, you hid this thing from me for last year!" Taehyung angrily shouted,

"You are well aware Jimin that you can't love someone who is not a part of the Mafia! They are the rules." Taehyung completed himself.

"Oh! Of course, you would never care for someone's love upon Kim Gang's rules! Why are you so heartless?!" Jimin spatted back.

Taehyung stood there silent, not being able to understand how was Jimin feeling. Wasn't he in the same place too?

"That is not the point Jimin, I am your best friend and I understand you! I would've found a way to make you both together!" Taehyung said but Jimin wasn't having to and replied,

"Taehyung this isn't a normal thing, I love her more than anything else and I can't put her in danger even if I marry her."

Jimin finally shed down tears, he cried very rarely and today Chaeyoung was his reason. "Taehyung how would I tell her that I am a mafia member? The people she despises the most." Jimin weakly said, scrunching down on the floor.

"I don't want to be a mafia member anymore, can you solve this problem? Can you make her marry me?! Knowing she is also Jennie's best friend?" Jimin added Taehyung was overly concerned about this matter now.

Jimin was right, knowing from Jennie she loved her best friend more than anything else and she hated Mafia people, letting her best friend marry a mafia member would never be a choice for her, she would utterly hate it. Chaeyoung was Jimin's life, so they couldn't hurt her either.

They can't force her to marry him neither Jennie would help him to ask Chaeyoung to marry Jimin, this whole situation was unexpected but important.

A girl would always understand each other and no best friend would put her friend in danger, moreover letting her marry someone so dangerous.

But if Chaeyoung truly loves him, can she accept him despite his job? But why would she? She was a lifesaver while he killed people.

Everything was complicated and a sensitive topic and Taehyung knew he needed to take the action more calmly because it had two of his loved ones involved in it.

Hey, minies! Today is Sunday so it's an update day! My hands have been aching because of writing for too long but it's for you guys so I can take it, and I sound cringe!
