Some of you wanted a continuation of the plot twist oneshot. So here it is.

IMPORTANT: I don't have an idea for the other part (only Lawrence). But let me know if you want me to write for them and I'll see if I can come up with something.

Ethan

You stood in solitude in the midst of a vast a garden - hair down but eyes upwards toward the expanse of the night sky made picturesque by the sea of dusty stars and a solitary full moon dipping closer to the earth than you had ever seen before.

It was captivating and remarkable, and perhaps, a once in a lifetime encounter. But as much as you want to revel in what magic presents above you, you could not bring yourself to appreciate, much less express awe, for your mind was certainly elsewhere and at a place where it shouldn't belong.

Tonight had been a wonderful night. With family members from all across the region, and some from other sides of the world, gathering in celebration of what may be the most anticipated engagement of the decade - the engagement of your uncle, your grandparents' youngest son.

He had been in the incredulously short and predetermined list of heirs for the longest time - those who were destined to inherit the family's lands and businesses and run them the same way the predecessors had.

But your grandfather was adamant. He was determined not to let the young man take hold of anything valuable until he settles down believing that the maturity and responsibility needed to safeguard a business develops when one starts their own family.

This suffocating threat of a decision, added to his stronger love for freedom and the great outdoors, eradicated any feeling of urgency or care from the youngest heir that he decided to just disappear one day - wandering about from region to region and country to country with the intention of living the life he wanted while he still can.

He knew better than to argue. And he knew too well that even without his permission, sooner or later, his father will make an unsolicited move on his behalf.

And now that the stubborn old man has had enough of his son's 'merriment', an engagement has finally been arranged.

"Ethan..." You muttered with a sigh, remembering the air of indifference and levelled disappointment surrounding his very being as he stood and pretended to smile in front of a crowd of people - holding hands and fingers laced with a woman he does not even know but now has to refer to as his 'fianceé.'

And you standing there watching it unfold and occasionally meeting the beautiful eyes made less vibrant by the exhausting affair of the man made you feel a certain kind of pain in your chest that you could not explain.

You felt angry.

You hated his future for him.

It was like an emotional prison.

You wanted so badly for the night to end and make the suffocating feeling of helplessness stop. But you knew that the next day, nothing will be changed and Ethan will still be a man destined to marry someone else.

Why do you feel so irritated and hopeless?

You weren't even as close.

You clasped your hands tightly and looked up at the sky again, shaking your head lightly in the hopes of bringing yourself some clarity and wake up from the fact that no matter your position in the family, you are in no situation to object.

Wake up, (Y/N)... You can't like him. He's your uncle. He's important to this family. Stop dreaming. You spoke in your mind as you pulled your lips in a tight line.
