a: i needed asher though, he's good with clues.
ash: that's rights baby.
he says whooping.
jay: well asher has his own team so you'll have to settle for the rest of us.

jay: so annie start, pick someone.

jay: that made me feel special.
jayden says smiling and annie gives her a kissy face.
jayden puts on a yellow name tag.
jay: h money.

she gave her a red name tag.
jay: caleb
c: caitlin.
she got a purple one.
ash: the best for last.
jay: just choose.
she says harshly.
ash: nadia.
he got a blue name tag.

c: i hope you know you messed up my team i was choosing nads.
a: i was actually, i had a strategy.
c: i had a strategy.
he says mocking her.
she gives him a death stare.
h$: don't get your hopes up because you're all gonna lose.
a: it's my birthday so the prize is still mine.
she says while sticking her tongue out at hayley.
i started to laugh.
jay: annie choose again.
a: johnny.
i got a yellow name tag.
h$: ruby.
c: connor.
ash: hady baby.

jay: okay so basically we're doing a scavenger hunt, there's notes hidden for each team. i don't know where katie placed everything. annie you're team yellow so follow the yellow clues, hayley red, caleb purple, ash you're blue babe. okay that's it we can split now, cards open at 7:47.

i didn't say much the entire time, and annie led us to the top of the stairs.
i whispered in her ear.
j: part two.
a: shut up.
she says grinning.
a: okay our team name is going to be the jays because we're all j's.
jay: ja ju and jo.
a: maybe ju first since it's my birthday.
she said sarcastic.
jay: oh right how could i have made such a mistake sorry babe, i hope you can forgive me.
a: no it's fine babe we all make mistakes, just don't make it again okay.
jayden started to laugh.
jay: of course i won't.
they were both laughing with each other and i was just looking in.
j: it's time to open the card.

annies pov:
i opened the card and ready aloud.

"happy birthday annie, we put together a scavenger hunt with a little surprise for you at the end."

i stopped reading and finished reading in my head
"brats of bratayley take their daily naps."

a: it's the doggy bed.
jay: you didn't even read us the whole card. 

johnnys pov:
annie raised her eyes up at jayden.
jay: oh, alright doggy bed.
which was weird to me.
we went to their playroom and found the clue and annie handed it to me.

"congrats your first clue is 52"  i read.

"you're one step closer to the big prize! the next clue is where you've reached your highest and lowest point."

a: it's probably the gym.
j: it would make sense to be there, your highest point excelling and literally height of your sport and then failure is the lowest.

annie grabs her keys and handed them to me.
jay: you let him drive your car?
a: yeah but don't say anything. he needs to get his drivers license.
j: i don't-
i say softly and she responds quiet.
a: if someone wants a date with me they'll get their drivers license.
she says sitting in the passenger seat.
jay: annie this isn't how the law works, you have to be twenty-one.
jayden says as i pull out of their drive way.
a: too late now.
annie says smiling.

j: i've been driving for two years if that puts you at ease, i don't have a license, but i can drive.
jay: not legally.
a: c'mon jay don't be uptight, he drove me around all day and i'm still alive.
jay: wow, state something more obvious.
we started to laugh, while we pulled into her gym parking lot.
we all went inside.
