Dining with Jin

Shivering as you remembered it all you were startled when you saw your boss standing there staring at you.

"I'm sorry did you need something?" You ask.

"Daydreaming? You seem to have been doing a lot of that lately."

You don't say anything and just sit there waiting.

"I need the Phillips case and discoveries on my desk by the end of day."

"All right I'll have it before 3."

He walks away and you realize thinking about all the sex you have been having isn't going to help you check your phone and seeing no texts from Eric you sigh and get busy.

Tuesday when you go to your table at the cafe after not hearing from him you eat your dinner and leave. And as your work week continues as usual Thursday you feel yourself calling up the Cuddlers and Hobi's voice is cheerful on the other side.

"Replacement Cuddlers Hobi speaking how may I help you?"

Prattling off your number he squeaks. "Hello Nicole! It's nice talking to you again. What do you need?"

You sigh. "Hello Hobi, I'm feeling a little down. I need some pampering and someone to talk to. I need a male friend. Maybe dinner was cooked for me. I don't know. What do you suggest?"

"Well there's not a lot of people available. Jin Hyung has a late night available tomorrow after 7. Would a late dinner be acceptable? He's a very good cook."

"How would that work? I don't get off till late Friday. I won't be home till 8:30 maybe 9."

"Is there anywhere you can leave the key that would be safe?"

"Yes I can leave it in a planter right by my door buried in the soil."

"All right." Hobi says. "I'm typing it in. Do you have any allergies?"

"No I don't. But I will stock my fridge on the way home? What does Jin like?"

"He actually just came into the room, let me put him on."

You hear silence for a minute and then Jin's voice. "Hello Nicole. So we have a date for tomorrow? I would love to cook dinner? Is there anything you don't like?"

"No I'm not picky. I could pick up some steaks?"

"All right how about you get steaks and I'll pick up some stuff to go with it?"

Nicole smiles and her voice comes through as it. "That sounds good. I'll get a bottle of wine if that's okay?"

"Yes wine would be nice. I will try to plan it all to be ready by 8:30 and just have to throw the steaks on."

"Okay Jin, see you tomorrow night."

As you both say goodbye, you're happy. This is just what you needed. And then you realize you hadn't slept with him. This was just dinner.

On the way home you picked up the steaks and a decadent chocolate cake as well as the bottle of wine. Adding some whipped cream for your coffee during the week you added some other needed items. And when you arrived home you put your groceries away. Warming up the pot pie you bought you ate that and then went to lay out your clothes for work.

Putting a little extra effort into your outfit you pick a lycra black skirt that goes to right above your knees and a red silk blouse to tuck in with your black jacket and your nicer pair of black 3 inch heels.

And the next evening when you walk in the door and smell the food coming from the kitchen and see his semi shocked face you are happy that you took the effort. You had applied some extra makeup while waiting in traffic and you knew you looked cute.

You walk into your kitchen and it's set with candles and bowls and plates of food and your stomach grumbles and he smiles as you sit.

"How was work?" He asks while pouring you a glass of the wine you had put in this morning to chill. And sipping you, grin.

"This is just what I needed. Dinner and some conversation."

And it was a wonderful dinner. Steak, small red potatoes, asparagus with a homemade hollandaise. The steak had a red wine sauce and some butter and it was heaven. And when he took your leg and lifted it up removing the heel and started rubbing your foot it was like the thing you needed.

When he had rubbed both feet and calves he stood. "Come with me. I washed your tub out earlier and bought a couple of bath bombs and some oils. You're going to soak in the hot tub with another glass of wine and tell me more about you."

And it was so easy to relax. He finished cleaning the kitchen while you soaked and he was very proper when he came back and he sat there next to the tub and rubbed your shoulders as you talked. You told him about why you were upset and why you had needed, tonight.

His hands are in your hair massaging your scalp and you sigh. "It's just I thought he liked me. He was sweet and had brought me soup when I was sick. Why do men do that? Seduce us with being nice and loving and then snatch it away like they get scared?"

Jin shrugs. "Sometimes men can be stupid. This is why our service works. You get everything you need but no problems or worries."

"Yeah well now I don't even want to go to my favorite spot to eat. I'm afraid of running into Eric there."

Jin had just been about to kiss your neck and he stopped. "What Cafe?"

"Thanks Nature Cafe. Do you know it?"

Standing he nods. "How long have you been seeing Eric?"

"A little over a month I guess." You stand and he hurriedly gets a towel and covers you while closing his eyes.

"I'm sorry Nicole I suddenly remembered I have a very angry, important client that wants my hugging service. Very angry if I'm late she complains a lot but she tips well. I have to leave right now." And before you can speak he's kissed your cheek and is walking out the front door.

"Well that was weird." You say alone to your empty apartment.

Hmm what's weird. Wonder what that's all about?
