Noah was leaving to put up the lost dog signs with the kids after we took some pictures to put on the paper. While we waited for them to come back I was thinking about watching TV when Jackson came downstairs. He was on the phone and sounded upset
"What do you want me to do about it?" he yelled
"Not my problem, you know I don't do that type of shit anymore."
"Fine. I'll see what I can do, what did you say her name was?"
"Who the hell names there dog Araya?"
The dog ran and sat in front of Jackson wagging her tail. Jackson looked down at what ran to his feet.
"Dude, didn't you say your dog was brown with white socks." Jackson said looking at me and walked to the kitchen
"Ok, I think I found her."
"Yup, my house. Come get her."
They talked for awhile longer but with him being so far in the kitchen I couldn't hear him anymore. I quickly texted Noah to update him
To Noah:
You can head back now, I found the owner. How are the kids doing?
I then turned on the TV watching whatever came on first. Not long after I got a text
From Noah: On our way now, the kids are doing good. Who is the owner?
To Noah: One of my brother's friends
I heard a whimper and looked at the dog bed next to the couch. Angel was crying trying to walk but kept falling. Warrior left my side and went to her smelling around then pressed his muzzle against her chest to try to help her up, only to knock her down more.
I snapped and War ran to me. I walked over to Angel and picked her up setting her on a towel on the couch checking her stub. The stiches were still bleeding but not terrible.
Warrior ran to the door and started barking at it staring at me, then I hear Melanie's little giggles and knew they were back. They came in shortly after I got Warrior away from the door.
Jackson came out from the kitchen followed by Araya.
"You aren't Mike?" Jackson's voice came out sharp
Everyone looked at him and Noah spoke up
"Nope, Noah." he said then looked at me
"Hey is the pup still here? Lukis and the twins wanted to say goodbye." My eyes widened and snapped my head to Jackson who was stalking up to Noah like he was prey
I jumped in front of Noah right when Jackson raised his fist. I flinched and put my hands in front of my face
"Move." Jackson said deadly
I shook my head no
His brother's name is Lukis leave him alone I signed
"I don't fucking know what you're saying! Move out of my fucking way."
"She said his brother's name is Lukis so leave him alone" April said for me
Jackson raised his eyebrow and turned his head to Lukis
"Is this true? Is your name L...you know...that." Jackson said with what looked like sadness
Kicker nodded his head when a knock at the front door interrupted Jackson. Jackson moved from me and starting walking to the front door which is next to Kicker. I quickly run in front of him protecting him.
"Chill out, I'm getting the door." Jackson said rolling his eyes
I motioned for everyone to get away from the door and we all went and sat on the couches.
Jackson opened the door and the person on the other side is the only one of Jackson's friends that is nice, Mike.
"Come in." Jackson muttered
April nudged me and signed How bad is this going to be?
I have no clue was my only response
As Jackson and his friend walked in Araya ran to Mike and started barking and wagging her tail.
"Hey pretty girl." Mike said happily petting his dog
This reminded me about a time when lightning was with us. He ran out a lot but always came back. Except one time, he ran and didn't come back within the hour like normal. We started freaking out and texting and calling (he called I texted) everyone we knew who might have seen him or who he might have ran to. Turns out he ran to the neighbors house who's dog just recently had puppies. They called and told us and when we got there lightning came to the door and barked and wagged his tail at us.
April wiped off a tear I didn't know was there and nudged me to look at Jackson. He had sad eyes and looked like he wanted to cry as well but never did.
A while later Mike and everybody left so I fed Warrior and put the twins to bed. After Warrior was done eating we went to our room and fell asleep as well.
