POV: You are the town's most wanted woman. Every guy wants you as his wife. Many have already proposed to you. But you declined. You put forward a deal. Whoever opens your front door with the key tied around your cat's neck will be the man you'll marry. This however leads to a chaos.
Yoongi's POV
I sighed as I saw the guys of around my age were planning to hunt the cat down JUST FOR A WOMAN! "Don't sigh Yoongi" "But hyung! They're hurting the cat! What has it done to them?" "Nothing Yoongi. But you see, the cat is very fast and won't ever come to one's hand. She ditches the fastest guy in the town. She's really fast it's terrific" he said in an amused tone making me roll my eyes.
"It's bad" he sighed and glared at me making me shut down. "Guys~ lunch is ready~" Hyung's wife called us so we just went in for a lunch. I was really amused when noona told me about the girl, y/n and her request of opening the door with the key tied around her cat's neck. Who the hell does that? I need to see this girl. I ate my lunch and skipped out of the house. I quietly walked to the small river near the town. Life in Daegu is much quieter than back in Seoul. I sighed and sat down near the river.
Not long after, I heard purrs around me. I turned around to see a cat looking at me with big round blue eyes which reminded me of Jungkook's bambi eyes. She had soft fur coloured in whites and blacks and browns. Ah~ a calico cat~
[A/N: The term calico refers to the tri-color coat on the cat. Furthermore, a number of different breeds can have the calico’s signature orange, black, and white hues, and all of these are still called calico]
I smiled at petted her head making her purr more. I smiled at the cat. I don't know why ARMYs call me little meow meow, but I do find cat's really interesting. Don't get me wrong, I love holly but it's just.... different. My eyes widened when I realised the cat had a key round her neck. But I decided to ignore it. She must've been chased by many from past days. I smiled and took it in my lap and petted her. "Hey. Kitty~ you must be tired from the running~ you can sleep here~" I cooed at the purring cat and started dozing. I never even realised when I slept.
Author's POV
Yoongi was quietly sleeping and the cat was looking at him with her big blue eyes. She kept purring but didn't get up from Yoongi's lap. Because she was very comfortable. And it was the first time someone didn't try to snatch the key away from her. She too, drifted off to her dreamland. After about 30 minutes she woke up and yawned to realise she was still in the man's lap and he was still soundly sleeping. She got off his lap and watched as the man whined due to lack of warmth but still drifted back to sleep. She got a bit back and kept looking at Yoongi with tilted head. She loved him.
Yoongi's POV
I opened my eyes but almost let out a scream as I saw a girl around my age was sleeping across me. She was so beautiful, I almost fell for her. But I realised the cat was gone. I sighed and decided to wake the girl up. I shook her shoulder to ear a groan from her. I instantly backed away and watched as she woke up, yawning and then looked at me. Her eyes were wide and a tint of pink covering her cheeks. I felt myself blushing as we stared at each other.
"Hi.... I'm Lee y/n" she said shyly making me look at her with wide eyes. "Oh! You're the one who did that to the cat!? Do you know how many people are trying to kill the cat!?" She just giggled looking at me. Wtf- "I'd want to know your name first" she said giggling. I blushed a little and scratched the back of my head. "Min Yoongi" she nodded. An awkward silence settled in making it difficult to say anything. I hesitantly asked. "C-can I ask something?" She hummed and nodded, looking forward to the water. "Why would you stake the cat's life for the thing?" She giggled. "What if I tell you I know all the people are trying to kill the Cat and some even tried?" She asked. "That's crazy- why won't you stop?" "Because I want to see how many really get the idea. But no- everyone's dumb." I nodded.
"The cat likes you" she said out of no where. "She doesn't usually go to anyone. It's the first time she was comfortable to an extreme stranger." I nodded. "I feel honored." "You should." She said and took her hands behind her neck. I widened my eyes as I realise there was a key round her neck. The same key tied around the cat's neck. "W-what?" "Here" she said giving me the key. "I'd love to have you as my man" she said blushing. I blushed too. I would too. "B-but isn't it cheating. I mean- ain't I supposed to take it from the cat?" "Yes" "oh-" "do you know what's the real idea behind this?" She asked. I shook my head no. "The cat is friendly. You could pet her twice and she'd happily give away the key to you. That's what happened to you." I widened my eyes as I realised what she meant.
"Ain't the cat supposed to give this?" I asked looking at the key in my hand "well technically, you've been given the key by the cat itself" "what?" "Yoongi, what will you say If I say I am the cat?" My heart skipped a bit.
"You're a hybrid?" She nodded. I felt my cheeks burn as I remembered her earlier sentence. The cat likes you. I smiled softly before I made her look at me. I stared into her eyes and smashed my lips on to her.
Pulling away, I connected our foreheads. "I like you too kitty~ let's get to know each other more, hm?" Her eyes widened and she hid her face in my chest making me chuckle. "My calico cat~ I've got you"
